Am I the only one that isn't going to see this simply on the grounds that it's about as Accurate to the original story as Braveheart was to historical fact?

Meh. I intend on reading it afterwards so that I won't ruin a promising movie by being pissed and pointing out all the differences between the film and the book.

Just for clarities sake, if anyone didn't know this: Beowulf is suspected to have be written around 700 AD. Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and Hamlet are from the late 1500's.
This kind of rewriting of ancient literature to today's standards of entertaining is... for lack of a better term: Japanese in proportions.
