    Default 30 Days of Night

I keep on hearing that this upcoming horror movie is based on a true story. I tried google-ing it and didn't find any result. I know for a fact that is started as a novel and became very popular but not to the point that it was based on a true story. Any fans of this novel that can confirm whether this is a true story or not

    Movie/TV is this way.

As for your question, a look on wikipedia told me that this story involves vampires, so using my amazing critical thinking skills, I would have to say no, this is not based on a true story.

And of course, I must thank you for yet again brining us such productive and valuable threads.

I dont no...I have heard of it a looong time ago, but there hasn't been a good vampire movie in a long time...and the trailer doesn't look that great...I could see it in the Cinema, But I would probably be disapointed...

I watched the trailer and wasn't impressed. Vampires move in and try to take over a town...which is nothing new. The novelty of this story is the arctic location of the town and the extended period of night, so the humans don't get a daytime break to make devious plans and attack defenseless vamps while they are sleeping.

I didn't see any big name Hollywood actors or actresses in any scenes from the trailer, so I guess they decided to go with new or lesser known acting talent for this movie.

I'll skip a trip the theatre and watch this movie when it's available for dvd rental or airing on cable.

heh, Isn't that a good thing? I mean the lesser the hollywood actors or actresses there are in a movie, the better the result is. Well, that's my opinion

What? No, just NO. Specially not horror films, take Live Feed for an example just saw it, no hollywood (no cash to make effects/costumes and shit) no good acting no nothing= fucked up bad horror movie.
