Well, I guess this movie is an exception coz of the fact that the novel that this movie was based on is so popular the director wouldn't pick crappy actors? Do u think???

Grin, I have a barely used $50 Blockbuster Video gift card so renting this movie wouldn't cost me anything.

The dvd bonus features like directors commentary and extra material like deleted scenes are often wasted on me. One bit of bonus material I'd be interested in that I've never seen included on disc with movies is an ebook verion of the novel when a movie is based on one. But then it might be sad to read the novel, really enjoy it, and then think about what a totally shitty job they did in adapting that story for the movie.

As far as I am aware there was never a novel to 30 Days of Night. However, the movie is based on one of the greatest comics that I have every read. I don't remember who wrote it but I do remember the artist because it was Ben Templesmith, who does some of the best art I have ever seen.
