Yeah, I think you have to possess the ability in order to regenerate.

I was so close to just walking out of the room when Bennet got shot, but yay, he's alive again. I knew NBC didn't have the balls to kill off a main character (Except for DL, which pissed the shit out of me. They really need to kill that cop off). Thank you NBC.
Adam is fricking awesome. I didn't really care for him in the flashback but he's playing the sylar role and he only needs one power. But this doesn't make sense for the last season, where Claire is able to be killed by Sylar. She must never die if he studied her brain, because apparently with that blood, you can even regenerate a bullet through the head.

Maybe Sylar never learned the regeneration ability. Future Sylar might have just locked up Claire after trying to peel her head open.
"If they could kill me, they would have." - Adam

He was going to, he just wasted too much time torturing him and trying to extract more info.

@ the immortal comments.
I think Heroes is going with the 'if you decapitate the head, you die'.
Its the typical immortal ender. Adam himself also hinted to it. And if Claire was to die, it would have made sense, because sylar likes playing with brains.

somehow, I doubt cutting off Adams head would kill him. If he has cellular regeneration then who knows what it would take to actually end him. I'm sure that if the company could've killed Adam they would have, except for maybe them wanting to keep Adam alive for his amazing blood.

I think Adam is probably going to end up with a life worse than death kinda like Parkman's dad.
I am also reminded of Yu Yu Hakusho where Kurama kills the older Toguro who is in the other guy's body who can regenerate. Anybody else remember that one?

I do, but I thought the seed didn't kill him instead made him suffer for the rest of eternity.

My point exactly... A life worse than death.

I doubt that'll work...
