One missed call -->explanation needed**SPOILER**
WARNING: THIS CONTAIN SPOILER FOR THE MOVIE ONE MISSED CALL THE ORIGINAL JAP VERSION
Alright, i watched the movie yesterday.....quite scary, it does resemble the ring in a lot of ways but its still good, anyway....whats the deal with the ending?? i dont get it....can someone explain it to me?
what i can gather (from the song too) is that the little girl become Yumi by possesing her body so that she (the little girl) can be with him since it appears that he once saved her....right or wrong??
then why did she hold a knife behind her back??
what happened to the old dead woman......the one in the bathtub in the old hospital.....was it Yumi's mother? or was it Marie (the little girl mother)?
The mother in the box thing was Marie the mother of Mimiko. Yumi just saw her as the same as her real mother, and realized that all the mother wanted was her daughters 'love and attenion' or something sappy like that.
And I was searching this up trying to figure out what exactly the ending technically ment. I never thought of it the way you explained it, but it does kinda seem logical. But there is also an alternative ending to the movie. In the alternative ending after Yumi spits the candy in his mouth, the scene cuts to the exorcist who is sitting in a cast and in bad shape. He then gets a call on his cell phone warning him of his death only '3' seconds before instead if 3 days before. Then he dies from getting hit in the head or something like that. So I think that Yumi is either completely possessed or not at all. >:O
This was why I believed the 'Japanese' Version is perhaps one of the best directed films I have ever seen. I'm not sure I want to see the American version, but this movie has seriously messed up my thinking process. >.<
