Oh I see. In the movie review in one of the local newspapers the critic referred to the infected as "zombies".

just watched this yesterday with friends

i agree with deuce that the movie went downhill after his dog died

when that happened, i was like noooo =\ there were good parts though, like when he found the mannequin outside and started freaking out about it

i didn't get these two parts: at the time when his dog got infected, those zombies could've gotten his so easily - he had his leg wounded, his dog just lost all power, and he still wasn't in his car. but yet he made it back safe and sound. and also what was the bleeding piece of meat near the end of the movie, i thought it was the kid o_O but the kid was alive later

the ending could've been better. it felt like they were cramming a message down my throat. i think i would've liked it a lot more if they kept faithful to the original book ending, or made the book ending better. then again, i suppose it wouldn't have been interesting for the people who've read the book.

Just saw the movie, I thought it was great! But I agree Spoiler: It was pretty sad when the dog died. And the movie kinda felt outta place when the mom and her son came along. Spoiler End.

And Yeah, It was really weird that Spoiler: The mutants didn't kill him Or go after hium when they realaed the dogs. They are pretty fast and strong and could easily have eaten him. Spoiler End.

Sooo many shock effects in the movie, girl next to me screamed so loud that my ear drum broke! O_o but great movie!

Likely, a savage, feral dog is more willing to go out into the pain of sunlight, even faint sunlight, than a man. Though there was a shade, I am guessing that it still wasn't dark enough for the guys.
That, or they just couldn't think of a reason that wasn't retarded.

I was more surprised that the dogs had leashes and the guy was keeping them as pets when everything else in the movie suggested they had dropped far below that level of organization, intelligence and overall commitment. That little stitch was the only thing I thought could be really wrong with the movie.

Oh, and the fact that the guy was able to recognize the dummies for what they were(when he had never seen will smith interact with them), realize that it would be a useful bait, and lure him into a well disguised, clever trap that most fully reasoning people couldn't set up is not at all odd?

Now that I don't know about. I think that trap was something he set up and just forgot about.

No, I disagree. The trap was most certainly something set up by the mutants. They are pretty smart, so they mimic him. With the dogs, and the traps. Robert do speak to the statue everymorning, so why should he usse it. And why didn't we see him set the trap up?
