I guess I see what you mean, but recently the focus has shifted off the patients and onto House and co.
The 4man leaving plot line was annoying in the final few episodes. It dragged on and was quite boring.

The Jerk isn't the finale, you probably know by now by EP24 is out.
I don't know in the third season tons of people died, but this season was definitely more about the characters than the sick peoples.
Well, it's only natural for a great doctor to SAVE people. I mean, even I was a bit shocked after watching things like OC/ER/Scrubs where people die every other episode. This case when people die it helps characters develop and we see more about House.

Well, the main people don't usually die but there are a bunch of smaller people that die in a few short clips of the show. Some also end up having cancer or something fatal but just get their time extended so meh.
The guy is still hilarious though, and plays the character quite well. And actually I didn't mind the third season too much, it was just something new instead of the same old stuff all the time.
