Thread: Harry Potter and The Order of the Pheonix

Well..... IT Will Own!!!! , Speaking that i am a fan it will be a "Week" to remember since the book is coming out a week after the movie. It looks like this movie is going to be better than all of them.

My opinion for that is because HP books 1-4 are a piece of crap compared to Books 5,6, and soon to be anticipated 7th.Since the books represent the movies "Duh" we have better HP movies to soon welcome our movie theater.

What are you opinion on this matter?

I personally think that the better the books are the more likely it is that the movies will be a let down, they have more to live up to.
I love the HP books but none of the movies have yet to quite meet the standards of the book imo.
So we will see what the next brings.
As for the 7th book I am really looking foward to it... infact I might have to re-read the last just as a reminder before it comes out.

i guess i will read the last harry potter book but i don't feel the hype as it first did. as for the movie i probably will watch it too but i think all of the harry potter movies are just plain bad espcially the fourth one where they rushed it and others where the dragged it a bit too long.

I'm starting to get too old to really care. I thought the 4th book was great and the books after pretty much crap. I don't especially care about the movie and won't watch it in theatres coz the movies suck anyways.

I'll probably read the last book though.

well the movie theater i go is 3 dollars, so ill go watch that for sure, and ya some of the movies dragged on alot, got boring to watch them

Are you serioius??

You'd rather read about a complaining teenager with pride issues for about 200-300ish pages??

And about the anti-climatic love relationship between harry and cho?

Or about the stupidity of Voldemort's team how they were able to kill Sirus Black and not be able to kill 4-5ish teenagers running around?

Or about the dumb conclusion that there's a "prophesy." That's so cheesy it's disgusting.

If I could remember anything to make fun of the 6th book, believe me I would. Besides Snape killing Dumbledore and Malfroy changing sides, there really was nothing really eventful or cool. In fact, the ending where they were like "we must go on a quest to find all of those Voldemort soul relics junky pieces" reminded me so much of anime [*cough*forexampleInuyasha*cough*] So, the 6th book was a complete bore for whatever 500+ pages it was.

The books got progressively worse after the 4th book.

and no,im not a really great fan of HP,i just like fantasy and stuff like these

In terms of the books, my personal preference is that 5>4>6>3>1>2.

In terms of the movies, 4>3>1>2.

I'm looking forward to the fifth movie and the seventh book, both of which look excellent. Unfortunately, I'm going to be in Japan when the seventh book is released, but hopefully I'll still be able to find it.

in terms of books, i prefer first 4 > next 2. i agree with CPR that it got progressively worst after the 4th book. the 4th book had a dramatic death, and all 4 had interesting twists and final battles near the end.

the twist at the end of the 5th book was.... a bit of the a letdown. not to mention harry was so incredibly angsty in that one. and the 6th book didn't feel very self-contained like the other ones did.

I think the fifth is far and away the best. My opinion is in the minority, but I liked angsty Harry. He was better than the normal Harry that we have to put up with, and I loved the whole Dumbledore's Army thing. Plus, Umbridge was a great villain.

I think the overall story of the fifth is by far the strongest.
