WTH, another remake of international movie?

Personally, I don't really care if this another remake of Asian horror movie,
but I really like the original movie (I'm really ashamed that I watched it twice :p) I'm not sure if the characters will fit nicely, Elisha Cuthbert is too seductive. Anyways, I would like to see how good/bad this is gonna be.

I remember when thwy first announced they were going to remake this movie...the lead actress was going to be that one chick from She's All That...what's her name? Anyway...I love the original so I hope this remake doesn't suck. I wished that they would just put subs but I don't think the majority of America movie goers are going to go see it...
