    Default TV series/movie recommendations

Well, the semester is coming to an end soon and I want to take a week or so to relax before my summer job starts.

Anyone got any good TV series/movie recommendations?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some of mine (I listed mainly older movies):

    TV series
    CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
    MythBusters

    Movies
    Memento (I recommend
    Unknown if you enjoyed this)
    Old Boy
    Unbreakable
    Gone in Sixty Seconds
    A Beautiful Mind
    Gladiator
    The Rock
    Terminator 2: Judgement Day
    Three... Extremes
    The Untold Story
Infernal Affairs trilogy (although the first one was the best)
Guinea Pig films (not for the weak-hearted)
    American History X
    Secret Window
The Italian Job (if you liked this one, I also recommend Inside Man and Ocean's Eleven)
    Pulp Fiction
    Swordfish
    Training Day
Dragonheart (shut up, I loved this movie as a kid)
    Braveheart
    What Lies Beneath
    Vanilla Sky
    Zoolander
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, those are as many movies that I came up with (randomly) off of the top of my head.

For the record, Infernal Affairs II was my favorite of the trilogy.

In terms of TV series, watch Dexter, Veronica Mars, Alias, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Movies...every single one of Kurosawa's films. Coppola's Apocalypse Now, as well.

I am surprised you like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I actually watched most of the episodes for it, but I did not enjoy it very much.

It grew on me. I absolutely hated the first season and I didn't much care for the second. The third was really good, though. The fourth sucked. The fifth was incredible. The sixth was good, and the seventh was great.

It started off weak, but the final three seasons really made the show.
