Thread: Section-specifc rules.

I'm of the no-anime opinion because it kind of infringes on Misc. Series, but let's see what everyone else thinks.

No fan-ism goes both ways, right? No flaming without arguments/evidence as to why your opinion (even negative) is correct?

=\ i'm for the anime included here. Cuz the misc. series to me implies more of misc. manga series.

I meant, no fanboyism/fangirlism while debating. Which means that no one should think that things are one way, because they want to.

if thats the case then yeah i would agree, but like DE said before, it takes a lot away from the Misc. Series.

But doesn't this sub-forum take some threads from ChitChat, as well? No one complained because of that. Besides, there were many people making threads about anime series in ChitChat, which, leads me to think, that some people thinks of Misc. Series as a place to discuss about only manga.

If there is a problem with anime discussions being moved to this sub-forum, then I guess it would be better to leave them in Misc. Series.

Chit chat is EVERYTHING. Anything that isn't against the rules and doesn't go in a subforum is a free topic for Chit Chat. Misc. Series is about manga (and anime), and therefore this would be taking threads away since that's where they should go.

The main reason I think anime should stay there is because a lot of anime have manga series, too - the discussions mix the two. Having anime series here that DON'T have manga series is one thing, but do we really need Chrno Crusade anime discussions here when you know the manga is going to be mentioned at some point?

People shouldn't have been making those anime threads in Chit Chat, I think. Wasn't it decided that this is against the rules? o_o

i think it was implied that anime shouldnt be in chit chat but never officially stated. but yeah its hard to dicuss this if we dont have any clear sense of what would be in here, if it was allowed then id say include those rules about fanboy/fangirl debates, but if it wasnt then id say that the Misc. Series probably needs a stickie for movies and or tv series together or separate, or maybe even different categories for the types of movies and or tv series.

I disagree about the anime thing, Misc is for manga, not anime especially considering all the forums and whatnot are 99% about manga save one or two threads in each.

How about a rule that says no anime with a manga series...? Any anime that stands alone or has a movie is fine by me, but I'd prefer not to see a repeat of Misc. Series because people don't bother to moderate their discussion. I'd still prefer all-or-nothing (er... the nothing bit =P) but I understand if anime discussion is desired.

@SD- well there are a few threads in the Misc. Series that do talk about it even if its only a few, so iono.

@DE- I'm not sure that'll work out too well, especially if people thought that the movie to the series was a really great movie, they'll probably want to talk about it and then complain saying "oh why don't we talk _____ in here too?"

if anything, i would say dont discuss about the manga here, the anime ok but manga a definite no.
