Also, I was referring to the fact that the entire battlefield seems like an open plain in the trailer, however, in actuality, one side has high cliffs(that those wimps Phocians allowed the Persians to get through. I mean, you don't complain about not being able to be where the action is, and then get caught sleeping on the job when you are needed).
Errr true, but the way was shown to the Persians by a traitor so they couldn`t have known they would come that way, since that way was supposed to be secret.

And i haven`t watched the trailor so i wouldn`t actually know. And yes one side was a high cliff, the other was a steep sea shore or sth like that.

Let's not forget that they served the Persians and Plataea, and then waffled between Sparta and Athens later on, depending on who was stronger at that moment. Pathetic.

Before you get too deep into the history remember this is based off the COMIC thats based off the real battle... just keep that in mind before you go too much into how historically inaccurate it is. The comic is the canon in this not the actual battle =]

and the Halo would be his cockring... but the REAL question is what does any of that have to do with 300??? =\ [/not-so-concealed-swipe-at-the-offtopicnes]

btw anyone think its a bit weird for them to go with a relative unknown as the lead characters in this movie? They had to know it would get hype on premise alone but the only major name associated with it is Frank Miller

I have one big question to ask, be careful though, it's racial ...

What are the chances that an ancient Persian army would have a high ranking officer who happens to be Black. (Mid-lower African more than likely, considering that it would seem that North Africa was already European and Arabic populated by the time this battle took place.) Wouldn't that be incredibly unlikely for an Arabian country? Particularly a place like Persia?

Point being, can anyone prove what I said to be likely and/or wrong?

IGN did an early review and gave it a 5/5, so thats a good sign
    Get it?

was racism a big issue back then? I think it was more where you were born/from more than just the color of your skin. But im just spitballing.

    @ Cooler; Touché !

@ Steal; Well we were discussing the merits of the lead actor so it wasn't too off topic.
