    SPOILERS

    I read the manga, it's rather nice story..till chapter 20 I think.

Suddenly the guy who was plain and simply average became some kind of store superman out of nowhere - if he was that hardworking then it was obvious that he had some skills but I think that improvment of his character was too sudden and make it less believable.

I also can't appreciate the plot device called "Daughter who needs to seduce some manager" - maybe I don't understand Japanese culture, but that does look a bit unbelievable too - their previous problems were rather realistic, now it just looks like new problems appear that odds of happening are quite slim.

Our main hero and heroine seems to be very childish in this relationship - I would bet my money they know next to nothing about each other, hence all that dirt keeps coming out. Because it's impossible to sit down and discuss things, to come up with plan - everything from them requires a lot of emotions and unnecessary moves. They can't decide together on catching the culprit, they can't tell each other about their life problems and they can't properly split duties in the house - that thing I can't understand and somehow it irritates me - although it is that disorganised lifestyle they have which makes us smile and is cause of their problems.

it's a really good series but i can't help but think that the ex-husband and wife are the bad guys. the ex-wife especially since it seemed that their problem could have easily been talked out. plus the main character is competent and in a romance that's usually not the case.

Well, to some extent I agree with you on this... however, there WAS a timeskip of 9 months, so who knows what could have happened? It's possible that his new focus on balance between work and family might actually have caused him to perform better at work.

I don't think it's a matter of the plot device so much as the way it was introduced. The discussion between mother and daughter was bit too obvious and openly-avaricious, in my opinion. That could be why it felt unbelievable. If it had been converted to internal monologue or subtle hints instead, I think it might have been better.

To be fair, remember that both of them have been betrayed by past relationships... it's possible that there's a hidden sense of distrust and fear to openly talk about things. I get the sense in the early chapters that both leads are trying very hard to be self-reliant after their partners have left them, so naturally they don't want to revert back to asking other people for help. Besides, would you tell a relative stranger all about your marital problems? They worked fairly well together with regards to the house duties and trying to catch the culprit... it's only on romantic issues that they stumble.

Anyway, chapter 28 is out! This company heiress is being really very blatant about the whole thing... I wonder if she gets a feeling of self-satisfaction from gloating over other people (or whether it's just poor storytelling)? And heh... apparently Natchi only allows one man to act forcefully towards her.

Funny, I was actually having second thoughts downloading the series since I'm having a hard time with MediaFire when, lo and behold!, I chanced upon this thread. Okies, let's see if it's as good as it's supposed to be...
But once you conquer the world, then comes the hard part.
What kind of world would you create?

Good thing you pointed that out because honestly..I missed out on information about 9 months skip - now my opinion is bit better about the series.

The guy is making good choice showing that he is decisive and has no doubts about his feelings towards her (although we all know it will be put to real test when the daughter of the owner will make her moves..who am I kidding - she will assault him). The problem here is Natchi who is the indecisive one - not only a lot of problems could be resolved by just telling the main hero what's the problem and actually thinking about what she wants : If she wants to live with him and to let him and his boys join his family, there is only one way about this : get the divorce and get remarried. If she will decide to marry our hero, the court will favour her with child keeping because :

    a) Their father obviously didn't make any effort to get them back so far
    b) The daughters will obviously want to stay with their mom
    c) Our hero can support them all with his salary
    d) The father was not interested in what his wife was doing and he was cheating on her - good enough reason to get a divorce - seriously, more than half of a year passed and he just let's them live on their own ? That's doesn't even qualify as "try-out separation".

I don't know how court works in Japan, but I think it favours the well-being of the children and the toxic environment that their father would provide could be easily pointed out by any competent lawyer.

Other than that, if I was that guy and saw what the hell the other girl was doing, I would start seriously think about getting a new job - if he will quit himself he could get a nice position at pretty the same type of job with not lesser salary and without the option of being in future blackmailed "Either you marry her or you will lose your job" - which I think is what this whole story is getting at - that he will lose the job and he will not be able to support them.

Chapter 31 is out! Spoilers ahead.

Woah, their relationship suddenly took a huge step forward. I wonder what comes next? Somehow, I'm getting the feeling that the company heiress and owner are starting to feel more like comic relief than anything else (ooh, big bad villain, oh noes!). Nothing that they do works, and their schemes are so patently transparent that Ninomiya can easily avoid them.

Then again, Natsumi is the more vulnerable one, so maybe this next scheme of theirs might actually have a possibility of disrupting things. Except for the fact, of course, that the events of this chapter seem to have a strong fortifying effect, so maybe things are balanced after all.

What do the rest of you think about this development?

The latest Rina-centric chapter (v7 ch 50) was very sweet, I thought. True to teenage girl mentality, a great comfort scene, and even some morals about valuing the individual thrown in. And that last slip of the tongue was excellent!

Well, with the divorce issue resolved, and the last holdout starting to change, it looks like all's in place for the wedding to proceed in the next and last volume!
