Thread: Coppelion

in 2016 a meltdown of a nuclear power plant creates a big catastrophe in Tokyo. 20 years later, the city has become a ghost town due to the high levels of radiation. From that area a distress signal is received. The Self Defence forces dispatch 3 girls from the special unit Coppelion to search for survivors. But why aren't they wearing any protection against radiation?

who is here believe that this is the manga version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R?

Since S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was inspired by the movie "Stalker" by Andrei Tarkovsky, which was loosely based on the book "Roadside Picnic", I beg to differ. Mostly since Stalker is the best movie evah, but also because the theme is not all that unusual really.

Tried it and it has quite a bit of potential. Depending on the following chapters it might be worth to follow, but it also might turn out to be just plain silly. Regarding the scenario, well... Personally I thought it was a bit of a mix really. Think fallout, but contained in an area. The thing with stalker (the movie, never finished the game so I can't say anything about it) was that the zone was conscious and laid traps. In this manga there is only radioactivity and destruction, much like fallout, though there is no wasteland to speak of.
