Thread: New Adachi series!?

You better believe it! It seems to be something he does for the launch of a new monthly shougakukan magazine (Shonen Gessan, if I've gotten the name correctly). I've never heard of Adachi doing monthlies before?

What do you think? Rather a continuation of Cross Game or a new series? I want both, but... And the forum where I found this posted had it stated that it was a continuation of Touch. Yeah. Right.

EDIT: You know, with Adachi winning an award, Cross Game soon starting a third part AND getting an anime and the this, Adachi really seems to have gotten his hands full. The only question I've got is... How did this happen all at once?

Whoa, seriously?! Great! But monthly... hmm. Adachi's pace is already slow and gentle. If you make readers wait one month between chapters, I wonder if it's going to feel too draggy?

But I'm glad that he's finally getting all the attention he deserves. Wonder if this will encourage Viz to start publishing his other works in English?

But if it means the chapters get longer i wouldn't mind them being monthly. I usually took some time when reading Cross Game, anyway, so I got two-three chapter at once. Got easier to follow all the threads that way. And on another note, if he starts on Cross GAme part 3 while continuing this series, wouldn't that balance out? More Adachi can impossibly be a bad thing, right?

Any speculations on what sport this might feature, if it's a sport manga? It's probably not baseball.

Hm... My impressions of Viz don't necessarily make me think that's a good thing, but the more people he can reach out to, the better for his sake.

If he treats the monthly chapters the way he did his one-shots during other serials, I won't worry about Cross Game part 3 too much. But we'll have to see. It's hard not to worry about him being spread too thin.
