Thread: Gundam 00

So, who's watching it? I think season 2 started pretty interesting, though it mirrors Zeta Gundam a bit too much for my liking at the moment...

A-LAWS = Titans
Kataran = Karaba?!
Celestial Beings = AEUG

etc etc. It's definitely good and original, but yeah, I feel it's a bit too like Zeta Gundam in some stuff right now. Hopefully that'll change as the series goes on. That or at least they'll do it right/awesome and have Louise kill Saji by accident.

I'm quite enjoying it, the animation is awesome, the OP song is good, the story is intriguing (although I have to admit I had forgotten most of 00, so I was really lost with the first episode of this series).

The main thing I like about 00 is that there isn't so much angst compared to other series, instead they concentrate much more on the story, the fighting and the politics, and this IMO makes it far more interesting than any Gundam other series I've seen.

^Actually, it seems like this season will start to incorporate the angst, but at least the main character doesn't seem tormented as much as others have been in the franchise. I must however say that the second season seems to be a lot more... How to say... Efficient in its story-telling. It doesn't sit still and fiddle as much as the first season. Third episode rocked.

Yeah, third episode was awesome.
Thankfully all the scene setting was done in the first series, so hopefully this series can just concentrate on the action.

Also, I love the fact that they are releasing this series in 720p (same with Casshern SINS) hopefully in the near future, all anime will be like this.

I still think Louise, Chinatits and Nena need to die, badly. Asides from that, it's great so far, and Ep 3 was awesome, especially since we didn't have to wait 23 EPISODES FOR MARINA TO GET RESCUED. Though you can bet it'll happen again if she doesn't stay on the ship.

But, those three characters are good. I'd rather see Marina get killed, since for an entire season and 3 episodes, she has been completely useless.

Marina dies --> Setsuna goes berserk = Good? I have my doubts, but I dont' really like her either. Now, I wanna see Saji get kickass. There must be some reason for his existance, must there not?

Clearly, his reason for existing is to be Celestial Being's buttmonkey. I mean, they need SOMEONE who doesn't kick ass on the team. Also, Lasse is a badass in every way now, he also looks kinda like Bright Noa for even more points.

I hate Louise, bawwww over a stupid hand rather than dead relatives. OP and EP are not as awesome as 1st season. Still watching it but meh.
