Thread: Casshern Sins

Just saw the first episode and it seems cool. The kid was a bit annoying, and the opening wasn't much to be impressed by, but the story might have potential and the animation was awesome, both stylewise and actionwise. The music is also very victorious.

Although I'm wondering, is this a continuation, a remake or a alternative ending to the original anime? I've just watched the movie (which was simply awesome) so there's no way for me to know. Judging from the first episode the story seems to be centered around getting to know Casshern's past, or that's what I'm hoping for.

Any other thoughts?

Cool for sure. Kid did not annoy me, for he seemed way more natural then Casshern. And seiyu for main character is hardly what i'd call a good choice. As for everything else its pretty good, hopefully it'll get even better.

I definitely found the kid realistic, but I hate kids... I liked the girl in the end though. Character designwise.

Ah lol, can do nothing about it then xD Girl in the end... yeah, she seemed interesting. Will have to wait to make sure though.

LOL, i thought it was ok but i bust out laughing everytime they said "Casshern!!!". It was ridiculous the way they accentuate on "shern" everytime they said it. LOL.

So far the most promising series this season IMO.

After laying this one on ice for a while I decided to start watching it again last week, and heck, it's gotten really interesting. I often find myself fascinated in the way the anime deals with serious subjects and how strange a world it is for us to understand. What's your guess to how much time has passed since Luna died? I'd say... ten-twenty years. Enough to get used to the world, but still remembering how it used to be, yet in an unreal fashion.

I also find the character development in this series really good, except the one-time-only guests everybody gets their share of time to be explored. Right now I'd like to know a bit more about Braiking Boss, but if this trend continues he'll get properly explained soon.

Anybody else still watching this?

And damn! Luna seems to actually be alive and Casshern can fight without losing his mind. Awesome.

Yeah, I'm still watching it, this series just gets better and better. I must find time to watch the original.
