    Default Slayers anime or manga?

    Does anybody know if the slayers anime is true to the story or the original manga, or if the mangas are much better. Any help would be appreciated

    The anime follows the manga at least from the beginning. I've only read the first volume of the series and own every slayer series. I like watching it every now and then when you just don't want to do anything except watch tv. It's a classic series.

    Depends on which manga your talking about, since there are variations of Slayers manga - like "Slayers Explosive" with only Naga and Lina, things that didn't appear in OVA.

    Read and watch both - they don't really cover themselves and both are great.

    I like the anime alot, its so waky and pump full of action. Sometimes a series has to be watched to enjoy to the most, and thats slayers. Maybe I'm being a little biased cause I never read the manga, but if you watch the animen can't go wrong.

    my brother bought all 3 seasons of it and I do like it a lot. I used to watch it back home when it first aired in phil. kinda hard to follow it as the schedule keeps changing and they aren't airing any commercials on which time it starts. (Maybe because they were dubbing it illegally meh doesn't matter to me if they do)

    Favorite character: Xellos. I can't tell whether he's there to help them or not XD

    @Vincent : It's a SECRET

    The OVA's and movies are great too. Never got myself hang on the games thought, only on the one from Super Nintendo.

    The Movies are great! It was the only time Naga showed up (oh wait I think she also showed up in the OVA's ... can't remember). I actually once thought that Naga was Lina's big sister. I don't even know where I got that idea >_<

    and now for a pic:

    OVA's are only about Naga and Lina. Naga is actually Amelia older sister, how it was hinted in anime and even more hinted in manga, when they both met each other.
