It's the short haired childhood friend of the main character. (Though I don't remember her trying to be an hero.) What about her? She's of no importance right now. I'd rather discuss 'that character' from the spoilers.

    Spoilers discussion:
You know, it doesn't even make sense. If it's really that person we have alot of continuity errors. It just can't be that person.
Ofcourse it would explain SOME situations like Yuu being spared no less than two times by the wolf or that person's weird behaviour in Yuu's presence. But other than that it's gonna be difficult to explain some situations. Basically there's no way that person solo'd this. For example when Hajime was attacked by the wolf. It doesn't add up, unless he lied. In which case he would need a damn good reason for doing so.
Right now I can only think of one solution. That person has an evil twin! (And they're stereotypically working together on this.) This would explain EVERYTHING! xD

    Katastrophe.

    ^No,... I take it back. She's nuts.
I just lost all sympathy for her.

    ^why...

I didn't feel more/less sympathy for her considering all we found out in the chap was that the killer was Mitsuki, or that she was one of them. I also agree that Mitsuki alone leaves a few holes, but I think an assortment of tricks would help justify it. I already mentioned that I thought that fake corpses were used in the mansion, but use that on the guy who was supposedly dead in the control room. There really is no sense for a wolf or any auxiliary person in the mansion to die without having any apparent importance in the mansion (I'm talking about the baldie who supposedly was poisoned by a tack in his mask).

Btw, where is your sig from?

Sig's from one of the most awesome animes, Baccano! (About 12 episodes.. a must-see.^^)
Spoiler: And one of the most awesome characters as well.

Well my hunch tells me she's totally crazy.
So far the author did a great job thus I expect him to link her reasons with the things we already know about her past. Otherwise it would just feel out of place.
Obviously I'm talking about two things:
    - her mother's death
    - Yuu's promise to protect her
Now, whatever her reasons are, I'm sure they have to do something with one or both of these flashbacks. E.g. the circumstances about her mother's death. Since we know she's supposedly been lied to alot there's a good chance she's been lied to about that as well. I mean she was - what? 7 (?) years old? Not unimaginable.
And Yuu's promise is probably the only thing that makes him a liar in some way. My guess is she actually was in trouble and he didn't come to her rescue.
Other than that I just can't imagine him lying to her. He's definitely not the type.

You're right we don't know her reasons yet. But I really can't get rid of that feeling.

    Katastrophe.

Just started on the manga today, finished reading chap 17. I somehow find the wolf pretty sick in the head. Gah.

I think this is one of the first horror/suspense/thriller manga i've read and while the gore totally freaks me out and made me hold my breath page after page in suspense, i cant wait for the next chapter. Hehh.

^Can't agree with you (about the suspense part). The manga lost it's great pace two or three chapters ago. Especially 17 was just ridiculously long winded. Almost nothing worth mentioning happened. Which is seriously disappointing considering the author wasted like 44 pages with barely enough content to fill 3 or so pages.
    Meh.

can't argue with that... the author should really stop playing around with little details and hasten everything up.

lol! first thing that came into my mind when I started reading it.

I was thinking that it was Rei at the beginning as well but as soon as the game started. Well we know what happened and there was too much clues pointing on Mitsuki. The other people were place under "too suspicious to be the killer" so I'm still sticking with Mitsuki.

But I'm still hoping for a plot twist in the end.

Agreed. I think the tension's somewhat lost and i really wonder what's the point with all the no-show scenes. Still, i want to know the reason for her killing spree though it'll be good if the story sped up again.
