Thread: Mysterious Girlfriend X

Anyone else following this? When I read the original one-shot *mumble*mumble* ago from Kotonoha, I was kinda meh, but decided to try the continuation anyway. The couple of years it took the mangaka to figure out how to write it as a series helped -- there's a big difference in storytelling quality between chapter 00 and the rest. Well, aside from the girlfriend herself, who's pretty much the same. Which, actually, looks like the weakest element -- I'm waiting for her to turn out to be something more than a boy's fantasy. Until then, though, the quirky is enough to pull me along.

I like the manga from the very start. Maybe its her weirdness or the mangas concept but it got me hooked. too bad in latest releases didn't have those weird dreams. I really like the detail in each one of them. ^^

i find this series strangely intriguing. I find myself waiting for the next chapter. I like how the main male character is just being pulled along by the girlfriend and she is just, weird.

Those dream scenes ARE worth poring over. Too bad they're underused.

I tried linking those dreams with each other but they only looked similar but they are different. >_<

IOW, flirting with shoujo-ai, without ever actually going there? I suspect you're right. Alas.
