It's very good, one of those series that both manga and anime are GOOD, the art is very nice too and it has a little extra info that the manga didn't have.

BUT there's one chapter that is just a recopilation of the ones before it, i don't remember wich one so you'll have to get a surprise... it's between 10-15 or so.

well... its also pretty depressing. So weigh that against good, because it is good.

But...the manga and the anime are EXACTLY the same...

Personally, I dled all of it and just deleted it afterwards. was only a 7/10 imo. Maybe if it were a bit longer to let you get a feel of the characters more so you can kinda get attached to them, but then it seemed a bit rushed.

Storywise it is the same (i meant that the anime is not shitty), but it does have some little extra stories. (How the main character obtained his ability, the past of the ninja leaders...)

The artwork is very good and so is the one from the manga.

I too feel it could've used 3-4 volumes more of story but even without it, i liked it very much.

By the way, does anyone know another manga from the same mangaka?
    Greetings earthlings.

I was REALLY hoping that the manga would have had a lot more content, but it even has as many chapters as it did episodes. :/

    ... The mangaka isn't dead.

Basilisk is based on a novel called "The Kouga Ninja Scrolls", which was written by Yamada Fuutarou. In other words, the mangaka of Basilisk, Masaki Segawa, is still alive.

Besides, it would have been impossible for Yamada to have drawn Basilisk. He died in 2001, Basilisk first appeared in 2003 and ended in 2004.

    Go, Wiki! XD
