    Default Fantasy Adventure Magic :D

I don't know if its just me but there seems to be less and less fantasy aventure magic mangas now a days. Maybe i just cant find the good ones. So anyone mind helping me and reconmmend me something good to read. I'm interested something along the lines of
    ID
    The last Fantasy
    Chronicles of the Cursed Sword
    Dangu
    Ciel
    King of Hell

if u noticed they are all manwha. well guess im looking for something set in medieval times, where magic is rampant. the setting should be similiar to beserk in a way. And i absolutely love ID where its a mix of good old school magic with a kickass martial artist lead character. and please dont recommend negima cause thats not wat im looking for. ty

So old-fashioned "Sword & Sorcery" tales? I think the Band of the Hawks scanlation group does a lot of that. You might want to look up their website.

If I'm not mistaken, Lone Wolf and Cub is of that sort.

Everyone hates Inuyasha, but that's kind of what it is... and it's set five hundred years in the past, too. Seriously, there's adventures and fighting and some kinds of magic. That might be what you're looking for.

Tsubasa *kind of* has magic. Adventures and fighting, too. And damn, that manga is good. Read it. It isn't really at all like Berserk, but it's worth trying.

I thought lone wolf and cub was about a samuria maybe im wrong ill check later. but yah im look for sorcery & swords kinda dealy.
Inuyasha well not exactly what im looking for the past type setting is right but the magic is more toward japense folk magic ie priest, charms, and anti-demon chants.
Also are u referring to Tsubasa Chronicles? cause thats sorta off from what i was headed. and yah Tsubasa Chronicles rocks loved the anime.
oh i just remembered Slayers and Last Exile is also along the lines of wat im looking for, these 2 are japense yay.... or are they....

I don't read many of those (I prefer my fantasy contemporary), but Ares (Korean) and Blue Dragon (Japanese) sound like what you're looking for.

(I'd suggest Mushishi for being deeply steeped in Japanese folklore, but it's not an adventure fantasy -- more just supernatural. Hyakkiyakou Shou is both of those and contemporary too boot, so again no.)

Lone Wolf and Cub is samurai, ya -- without much magic. Samurai Depper Kyo, OTOH, is both.

There's no magic, just a really badass samurai with his son in his baby carriage of ultimate doom!

There's magic involved in Ares? I read up to chapter 60 if I recall correctly, and I don't seem to remember any magic.

true ares doesnt have magic but it has the right time setting. and blue dragon is more of a shonen type of manga, based on a cliche of a certain kind of superpowers. and ive seen mushishi it was a good supernatural and mystery, but not exactly wat im interested in.

You're right -- Ares is magicless. It has that feel, though, so I sometimes forget.

I'm still blanking on other high fantasies of this type, but for contemporary fantasy adventure, there's Flame of Recca, Mx0, and Ga-rei -- tho' that last is edging over into Bleachclone territory.

    I don't O.o
But the anime "ending" is... not an ending
I continued to read it but when i reached chapter 4xx i got tired of the same being repeated, you know the...

Find Naraku -> Fight but he wins/escapes -> Get upgrade for Inuyasha -> Find him again, almost kill him but escapes -> He gets stronger and the last upgrade is useless now-> Go to step 1

    As for the manga...

Monster Collection has quite a lot of magic (mostly summoning stuff) and is set in a medievalesque age. It WAS scanned by Animewaves but it got licensed so you'll probably need to go into the mIRC to get it. It's like 5 volumes long...
