    Default Rah Xephon (intresting?)

I've recently finished this series and I can't decide on it being another random anime filled with random characters..or a deeply well thought out anime with characters that drag me in...so whats the opinion for the series.

If you are to achieve epic status one must obey the laws of 1 & 2 and if those laws are broken..anon does not forgive and his /b/ will destroy you!

errrr......im not really the type who likes mecha or science fiction much...but this one was sorta interesting and mysterious....i dont think it was just some random anime with random characters...the plot is actually quite well-thought out enough(although i have only watched the beginning episodes, but i read about some info from Wikipedia ^_^
i still have to watch the remaning episodes, so my opinion might change

It follows and feels a lot like the Evangelion Archetype. Personally I hate it, and it disgusts me. But that's just me.

I have such mixed feelings for Rah Xephon. The first time i watched it i liked it nice mecha story. Second time i watched it, i started wondering uhhhh wtf.... is going on. Then I went on good old google and read reviews and explanations on the story. Then i was more WTF...... its interesting all right but if you understand the story like i do, you'd think it was just a waste of time.

but i enjoyed it the first time XD
p.s technically its not mecha cause the machines are actually golems. Remember when they explode guuey stuff flies out... its made of the earth(i think)

I always thought that Rahxephon was the best meccha anime of all time, and I still think that today. The meccha genre is dying because directors tend to fill them with cliches, corny plots. Rahxephon is the best and its the last great meccha anime to be made.
-It has a really great OP and ED
    -COmplex Plot
    -Not really cliche happy ending.

*Code geass will have to be added to that list of great meccha anime, but lets wait till its done.

I thought it was brilliant. Much better than Evangelion, actually.

NGE have a bit more that just a failed ending, it have poor planning with it adding more and more things instead of answering then and so it runs out of time to proper explain and solve things.

That is were Rahxephon shines, its really well planned were things are proper explained and concluded ... in a way Rahxephon is NGE done right.

I love Rahxephon, and consider it probably my favorite.

    Why:
Characters- Every one of them grows on you (Especially after you've seen the series like 3 or four times). They are unique and quite realistic (Except Quon, but she has a reason to be). I still love Isuki Kisuragi.
You have no idea what the fuck is going on- Everything has a purpose and it has great rewatch value because it is fun to see why things happen and why characters do what they do. Also, the ending won't make any sense unless you pay attention and think constantly about why things happen. It's like a mystery. But the great thing is that it doees make sense.
Nothing lags- It seems like every moment of the anime is reasoned and keeps you intent on watching it.
