I was reading a thread earlier about gut's age and i remembered a question that i arose in me some weeks ago..
WTF is going on with anime/manga authors and the age of their characters.
Many times i have found my self thinking how can an xx years old person have done all this in his/hers life and how can 26 episodes of unstoppable destruction and mayhem take place in some times less than a year (especially if you think that it is common for the characters to travel on foot) without the main character dead from exhaustion.
The volume at which unusual and important for once life, events are taking place is...insane!
Now i understand that they have to make money and keep the audience hooked and the target group is generally young and the characters are not ordinary humans but geniuses and the amount of god like people drawn together by fate must be big, but..
is there any real and important reason beyond what i have already mentioned??
umm...wrong section. =\
there's a beserk subforum....
I just remembered it because of berserk, the question is for all the animes that coresponde to what i said
if you want realistic things, just open your door and go outside
seriously, shonen and manga in general are not meant to portrayed lives of ordinary humans struggling to make their everyday tasks... nobody would read that, yourself included.
Of course there are (a few) mangas which are more realistic than others, so you may as well read these ones only...
ps : it should be in the misc section..
That is true, although i really don't dislike urealism.

If so i am sorry.

well, of course there need to be a logic in any unrealistic world, but i don't think all or most mangas lack this logic... (any good manga is supposed to be at least well constructed for me )
Well there is logic to them but they seem to fail to explane how can anyone take the amount of punishment that could kill a dinosaur and still be able to stand up and fight some more.. :P
you should give examples of what mangas you are thinking of, because each one has his (more or less fishy) explanations
For One Piece by example, which is a manga that i really like, the explanation is that someone's will is more powerful than his own body, and this emphasize on the willpower is common to most if not all shonen too... afterwards, it is for each mangaka to write their stories well, and it is true than some just overdo it (subliminal message : not Oda ^^) and get lost in their own work
Btw, if the hero in OP (Luffy) has his fruit and none else, it is because of this "willpower is stronger than anything" moto, as it allows him to be hit repeatedly without being beaten as long as his will doesn't break.
