Shakespeare the manga??
now the bard's tales get reincarnated as manga.
BBC has it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/e...on/6647927.stm
Shakespeare manga sounds like a lame idea...
Its pretty pathetic how low literary n00bs go to try to incorporate literature among the public, even among those who are pretty illiterate or those who don't practice it. As if the "urban adaptation" or Romeo and Juliet wasn't terrible, this sounds even lamer.
Personally, I prefer Shakespeare the playwright.
And judging by the teaser cover, with a Romeo straight out of a shoujo manga and a xxxHolic-lookalike Juliet, I'd say don't get your hopes set too high.
Besides, Hamlet's good enough as it is. Don't fuck with it, please.
just move it to one section and copy it to the other then :P or just lock it now and send it into the void

Another retread of Classics Illustrated?
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
If the animation is good and it sticks to the story lines pretty well, I don't see why it would be bad, per se. Although, I bet whoever did it would royally suck it up in the process of making the plays into more "modern" and "contemporary".
