Sigh. Try reading from Volume 6 (Chapter 24a) onwards. It's the start of the main couple, so maybe that might finally be able to get you hooked onto it.

Trying to name the best shounen/seinen romance is like trying to name the best fruit. Everybody's looking for something different, so it's impossible to be able to find one that fits all. You can only name what you think is the best, based on your tastes.

Having said that, my tastes run towards quiet and understated romantic feelings, with certain dramatic high moments, little fanservice, and definite character growth. Of which, I rank Maison Ikkoku as the best, followed by Rough, H2 and Open Sesame. Other good ones, though from a different taste, include Salad Days (by far the best anthology), School Rumble, Love Hina and The Hating Girl (for comedy), and I''s and Ai-Ren (for a high degree of angst).

Manga Genre Focus: Romance, Comedy, Slice-of-life. Primarily shounen, then seinen and shoujo.

Ichigo 100% isn't that bad, I thought. Midori no Hibi had the worst ending of any manga I've ever read, though (and I admit I expected a little more from it). Love Hina is decent and I wouldn't put it in the same category as Ichigo 100% and I"s (it's more of a harem than an actual love triangle/quadrangle/whatever). I"s, I found tedious.

And Maison Ikkoku = wonderful. Great romance story. ^_^

Isn't midori no hibi like... a comedy kinda thing? OK, I haven't read it.

I"s rock. I kept restraining myself from punching my laptop screen..

Okay, in the end my laptop's still safe..

    Edit: Okay, IMO, I"s rock.

    Cooler's too sensible for that.

Also seconding midori no hibi. For slighly more seinen romance I'd recommend Planetes, though I admit this really isn't my area of expertise.

No, Cooler would say it. Berserk IS a romance seinen, albeit one with plenty of action and adventure to it. You can't say that Guts and Casca's relationship doesn't play a huge part in the story, after all.

It's due to that relationship he's got no right eye and a lopped off left hand and forearm goodness.

Shounen ROmance sucks, they are even gayer than Shoujo. and that's saying something.

Seinen ROmance: Koi Kaze, Okusama wa joshiKOsei, Basilisk, girlfriend, haru yo koi, Love Scar, kilico, me teru no kimochi, Hitsuji no Uta.

Well technically they can't be gay. You'd put that in a totally different category then.
Bullet Tooth Tony: You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Reporter on Titan Maximum: Sasha is there any connection between your poor album sales and the fact that it sucked?
