    Default Soccer Anime/ Manga

Do u guys know of any soccer related anime/manga thats worthy of checking out? I watched Whistle! and I loved it but I cant seem to find any other nice ones. How is Captain Tsubasa and hungry heart? Are they worth checking out?

I like Hungry Heart, its a good way to spend some time. As the above poster said, the ending isn't the great, but then again how else would the series have ended? In some respect, its similar to Slam Dunk, which is a classic in my opinion.

I meant BESIDES Capt Tsubasa and Hungry Heart. Jeesh... I know they exist but I wanna know if there are any other ones beside that and if they are worth checking out or not. Right now I know only of 3 soccer manga/anime and I wanna know if there are any other. And didn't I say "worth checking out"? Of course I know they exist...

That is what you asked. You asked how they were. You didn't say besides those two, so I answered accordingly.

EDIT: As the poster below stated there are others. My mistake.

There are several good ones, like, SHOOT and OFFSIDE. There is also Fantasista, which I personally believe to be the best and the most realistic soccer manga ever.

The most real soccer manga is Whistle yet the best goes to Fantasista by Michiteru Kusaba.

I second the actual football comment. Just watch and play the game if you really like it. The manga/anime are so over exaggerated and most of the times childish that they ruin the game and follow the same formula over and over.
