    Default Blame! Manga

Ok, so I've just finished reading Blame!. And the same thought that crossed my mind as it did everyone else who just finished it. WAT THE HEK happened??!!? Tried looking up overviews online but couldnt find much to my questions. So heres the questions.

1.How did Cibo and Sanaken's DNA or whatever mix to make that embryo thingy??!

2.What the heck is Killy? was he a human or the anti-safeguard ..?

3.What the heck are the silicon creatures? From what I can tell throughout the manga, most of the humans contain mechanical parts, even Cibo and Killy.
Wouldn't Killy Cibo be considered as a cyborg too, cause they are part machines.
And why are the Silicon Creatures all so baddy? they keep trying to kill people and stop Killy and crap. Never gave an explanation why.The safeguards are killing people cause they malfunction, at least they have an explanation.

4.What was the thing that Killy was carrying around with him near the end? that rectangular shaped talking box.

5.Killy brings the embryo thing in the end into an underwater locations at the end, and the embryo turns all red and stuff. I'm assuming that the embryo is growing or hatching. But wat the heck does that have to do with saving the city(in stopping its expansion)?

    6. Last question. On the last page of the manga, you can clearly see a little figure on the bottom left corner, resembling a human form. But wearing a mask + Suit. Is that what the embryo hatched into? a human?

Those are my questions. Heres my theory, hopes it close to being accurate. That embryo hatches and grows into a human with net-genes from Seu. And that net-gene kid can enter the net-sphere one day and correct the problems with the city.

In the end this was a great manga a must read. Except with the lack of communication, and sometimes hard to depict fight scenes.

Killy might be a unique safeguard like Domochevsky; but that is unlikely. It's almost certain that he is an artificial human created by Toha Industries.

The rectangular box is a life preserver: it holds the uploaded memories/consciousness of people, but it's been slightly corrupted because of many overwrites.

The Silicon Creatures are a faction related somehow to the nanite plague (contamination), and symbiotic with it. They kill humans because, well, the silicon creature's see themselves as the next step in evolution. Biomega seems to be a prequel on this.

Why not? That's one of the less confusing things about the story, it doesn't really matter if you don't think about it to much.

2.What the heck is Killy? was he a human or the anti-safeguard ..?
Read biomega, he's an artificial human, though he may have gone through some changes to make him into what we see in Blame! He used to be an agent for Toha Heavy Industries.

3.What the heck are the silicon creatures? From what I can tell throughout the manga, most of the humans contain mechanical parts, even Cibo and Killy.
They're not just cyborgs, they are fused with an alien virus (NS5), NS5 did not kill it's victims, it changed them to varying degrees, granting various powers at the cost of warping them into inhuman monsters, though a very small minority gained certain powers while apparently maintaining a human facade and mind. It's unclear which part of the previous human victims silicone creatures evolved from (the more human ones or the monstrous ones, perhaps both). It's also unclear whether the contemporary humans are immune to the virus, they just haven't come into contact with it, or they are the ones whom the virus didn't effect in the past.

Wouldn't Killy Cibo be considered as a cyborg too, cause they are part machines.
I already explained that the silicone creatures aren't just cyborgs, but Killy and Cibo at various points aren't really cybors either, Killy appears to have a system of internal nanites with some sort of external interfaces.

And why are the Silicon Creatures all so baddy? they keep trying to kill people and stop Killy and crap. Never gave an explanation why.
Genocide I would assume, they are in effect aliens, they do not particularly wish to live with humans.

But wat the heck does that have to do with saving the city(in stopping its expansion)?
Once someone can access the netsphere, the builders can be ordered to stop expanding the megastructure. The megastructure is a giant dyson sphere that has expanded to around the size of the orbit of Jupiter, it will eventually fail to function if it expands too much.

    6. Last question. On the last page of the manga, you can clearly see a little figure on the bottom left corner, resembling a human form. But wearing a mask + Suit. Is that what the embryo hatched into? a human?
Presumably yes, and it's definitely going to be human, only humans can be accepted by the netsphere, that's why the preliminary logon required a human with normal DNA.

Those are my questions. Heres my theory, hopes it close to being accurate. That embryo hatches and grows into a human with net-genes from Seu. And that net-gene kid can enter the net-sphere one day and correct the problems with the city.
Something like that, there's a sequel, I haven't read it yet.

I think it's called netsphere engineer. Not sure though, haven't read it. Noise is also a prequel, though I think it takes place a bit after biomega, I haven't read that either, I think it's just one volume long.
