    Default Need Help[REcommendations]

I need recommendations on Shounen-ai Titles with good(cute) stories(and art). One with Yakuza characters would do nicely. Without would still be good.

P.S. No, it's not for me. A friend asked for recommendations. If it was for me (meaning my line of expertise), I wouldn't really need help >.<

    Many thanks in advance ^_^.

It's not yakuza, quite, but Setona Mizushiro's 1999nen no Tsuki Shanghai (sometimes translated as July, 1999, Shanghai) is more or less a gay Romeo and Juliet set among Hong Kong gangs right before the city was handed over to China. Art's good, and the story's excellent.

    Ok...let's see.
Shounen-ai = Gay stuff. Literally and metaphorically. And effete boys.

Yakuza = Tough dudes. Manly men.

So, you want gay, effeminate tough boys, right? Girly men making out with each other while breaking old ladies' knee caps for skipping on a payment?...What in the heck kind of friend do you have???

Wow...way to jump to conclusions there, buddy. Bigot(=p). Intollerant person(double =p). Republican(=p =p =p). I said that it was gay. Then, in a separate sentence(which denotes a separate thought), said that shounen-ai was also filled only with effete boys(which it is). I give you a pity clap.

    *claps*

P.S. - One of my gay friends(a 6'4 Mexican/British kid, who happens to be an effete construction manager[Don't ask. Really, don't.]) took me to a gay biker bar once. Yeah, all the guys there were pretty effete, to be honest. Some were buff, but still pansy-ish(you know, the type that look big, but can't take being hit). Honest to God. Way to stereotype, man. =p

I'm trying to picture you in a gay biker bar.

It's an absolutely hilarious image. Mainly because I have no idea what you look like, so I'm picturing you as Chuck Norris.

@Jakko: Well, it seems she has a fetish for those kinds of stories...and...err...I think she's pretty normal (at least, that's what I've been led to believe o.o). But now you see why I need help on recommendations >.<. For I honestly haven't read any titles with a related genre(aside from Family Compo, which has a pretty decent story, btw).

@pseudo: Thanks. I'll add that to the list. So far, I only have that title on the list though.

If she has "a fetish" for it, she's probably already read all I can recommend and then some.

I don't suppose Yakuza stories with pseudo-shounen-ai would do? (If so, Tokyo Crazy Paradise might fit the bill...)

    -Dizzy-
