Default Translators: the good, the bad, the ugly

I just wanted to ask everyone who their favorite scanaltor(s) are so they can give them some props, and embarass those who are not there favorites.
Anyway, I gotta say the best text job, translation, and over all purifying without destruction of the manga is the band of the hawk. Both Beserk and Gantz are two animes I know they do and they just do a phenomanel job.
The people who do Suzuka and GTO... not so much, but at least they go out there and give us free translations so you can't complain
In either case, all of the translators of all mangas, animes, and live-action movies deserve a round of applause and a cookie, go ahead translators, you deserve it.

My favorite is whichever one can do it the fastest. Its not like I can really tell the difference and I don't really care about the minor differences.

Band of Hawks was definitely my favorite back when they were translating a lot of stuff. I found some surprisingly amazing stuff done by then such as Living Room which I wouldn't have expected to enjoy.
Snoopy Cool when they were in their prime is my second favorite they've done a lot of good series and they used to be super fast.
Third would probably be Omanga cause all their choices for translation are pretty intense and fascinating.

Kotonoha, Mangascreener, and Lililicious all create versions that are clean and clear, meaning both edits and English. Shoujo Magic's translations are usually also pretty good, though I can't say the same of the bulk of what they translate. (I suppose they're doing us English speakers a service in exposing us to large swathes of undistinguished, mediocre shoujo. Probably.)

Illuminati is the Greatest. The GREATEST.

*has duty to the scanlation group she was kinda/sorta a part of. ^^;;*

I don't have a major favourite scanlation group, since I read a lot of manga. I do tend to favour large groups who work on multiple projects (and who I usually know people in :3), as long as they work quickly. At the same time I dislike small groups that steal projects - without asking for permission or the like.

    Illuminati FTW!

Manga-Heaven, Null, TOWNL, and any of Ocean's groups, pretty much. I would say they are the best groups currently working.

i have personal favorites when it comes to certain manga.
    bleach - max7
    one piece - null/KEFI
    fullmetal alchemist - zomgta

these definitely would be top groups on my list due to fast releases, consistency, quality, etc. other groups have good HQ releases, but their projects just arent as beloved~ XD

meh i tink that all translators are all pretty much the same. My best vote goes to the people who quickly translate these chapters, unlike those ones who take their time.

But some people that translate quickly don't do a good job. Would you rather have someone who does a chapter quickly but the translation is poor quality with errors or someone who takes more time and makes sure its good quality.
Illu is definitely on my list but also Cat a past Furuba translator.
    Saving for:
    Su-kun (my 5th boy)
    Amecon

Furuba is completed! Thankyou everyone for your support!
