Just thought of a new one: Rough.

It has one of my favorite all time out of every manga that I've read volumes in it (v2), then as the story goes on it drops off. When they start focusing on the rivalry between that college dude and the main dude it got really boring. Something that was bad for the manga in general considering it was a comedy all the way up until the one guy got in a car crash.

Also the very ending was kind of a disappointment. You pretty much figure it out by the actions throughout the manga and all, but I just didn't really like it.

Heh. And I point to Rough as one that manages to nail an open ending.

The car crash is in a different manga from the same author, though.

Rough has a car crash in it, I'm not wrong about that. But instead of someone dying it just maims someone.

After rethinking a bit, I guess I'm not disappointed at how it ended, but what led to the ending. The later volumes were just flat out boring and serious in a manga that I thought was going to be comedic throughout.

With lead characters with that kind of sense of humor (which fits perfectly with mine) I guess I just expected to much from it.

Oh, that crash. Gotcha. (Someone could probably get a senior honors thesis out of analyzing crashes and accidents in Adachi's works, I mean oeuvre.)

You're right that the series moves from romantic comedy to drama, but I was anything but bored with it, despite that. Which doesn't change your disappointment, of course. I should stop arguing with your reaction now.

Well, recently i have a manhwa ending that make me feel like $%^#&^@*&....... I think i need to say it T_T. the manhwa was titled AI Hunter. First and 2nd volume was good, saw the "main" antagonist. And later on the 3-5 volumes resolves in the protagonist past. And it ended in vol 5....
Just like that, just like the main protagonist is moving on after settled his past. No explanation about the main "boss", nothing, just the ancient way of driving around no where catching some AI....
I was like O_O ............... Dissapointed as hell

you mean they introduce 5 different guys in the beginning and with a very good potential in how to use all of them but in the end. The 4 ended up as extras for the sidelines which didn't help the flow of the story.

    or

It has a comedy sports start but it suddenly shifted to swimming rivals with modern day Romeo.

Black Cat's ending disappointed me. It just became so...uncreative in the end, letting itself down quite a bit. For instance, the combination of tao and nanomachines was good but the way Train beat him...it just seemed like the mangaka wasn't bothered to write out a proper ending and took the easy way out.
