Thread: Hunter X Hunter

So whats the deal with this series? Yoshihiro Togashi has been on sick leave for like what? A year? 2 years!?! Im starting to get concerned...

There's already a thread, but that one's become bombed by pointless test results or something like that. I don't know if it can be saved.

As for the manga: My guess is... There is no hope.

Actually there might be I was talking to a friend and apparently Togashi has been busy redoing the art for the tankoubons that were released with the chapters he did while poorly. Once he's caught up on those he may well come back to finish HunterXHunter.

What!? That's wonderful news! That'll make the manga's reread value shoot through the roof.

you are mistaken, he does that for every volume and they came out on time, sort of. There are about two volumes worth of chapters and they should have been redone by now, a year and a half after the manga went on break. To be honest, NO ONE knows what is going on with him. I want the manga to come back badly but as the months roll on, i dont know how likely that is.

edit: Lews, you're right. Normally i would say that there is a topic but it is impossible to navigate that topic because of the stupid test results. Who cares what kind of nen user you are?!? Anyways, maybe this should be strickly a discussion topic because it starts off with the queston everyone wants to know and always asks no matter how many times it has been answered.

okay so i guess this is the new official hunter x hunter thread then. i heard a rumor that he might start sometime this month, though it is only a rumor i hope it is true.

Isn't it Togashis birthday now/soon/already happened?

Either way, it's been almost a year without update. I think it's verily much over. But who knows, maybe he'll cover the end with some sorta databook

i've really never read the manga, is it farther than the anime? after Greed Island? and also is there more HxH after Greed Island?

there is more then the island as far as the manga is concerned but it stops suddenly on a cliffhanger and hasnt had a new chapter for a year if im thinking right.

I just started reading the manga again. I got to like 225 stoped, and i'm back on it again. I read that there is writing on the top of ch 196 pg 1 that is suppose to be that date that anime is suppose to start again. Anyone know what the date says? that particule translator didn't translate that part. He just noted it.
