AH! My goddess, great manga or just shameful obsession?
I enjoy the characters but you gotta admit that the plot is taking a painfully long time to develop and you should only be able to take so much of "will they or won't they". But why do I keep coming back for more?
Secondly, which is better, anime or manga (I include the movie in anime as well).
So 2 threads in one. If you are answering about the obsession pleas put 1 in your post. About which is better place 2.
Edit:spelling, fingers are cold they are numb, live up north of canada.

so you would say I have a shameful obsession? I was leaning towards that one too myself, it's not as fast paced as my other favourites like berserk, battle royale or Naruto. I just can't quite figure out why I keep reading it.
Addition: forgot that death note comes in to a close second behind berserk,

if there's a plot I can't find it. Seems more like a bunch of short stories.
Closest thing I can compare to is aesops fables. They all have a moral at the end and tend to use same characters (Fox, lion, eagle, snake). I enjoy those, so maybe that's why I enjoy Ah!?
I am trying to find what compels me to read it. Funny thing is the anime I think does it more justice than the manga. I know why I read other manga, comics and novels, but this one is just sooo.... I dunno frustrating?
i never read the manga, but i did see the anime TV series. the newer one has pretty good drawing style. and never saw the OVA either XD. its pretty plotless cause the main character is pretty gutless, but its pretty funny. its good for simple relaxation.
The manga and anime are similar but have different stories (either altered a fair bit or completely different). The OVA has a less perfect belldandy who actually one point attacks Urd just because she upset her slightly.
err... well i havnt finished this manga yet.. and i douth i ever will but a point about the obssesion bit is i reckon you would come back because u feel you wouldnt want to abandon it.. and rather think that maybe.. just maybe the plot would come.. plus.. you wanna finish it atleast.. well those are just my thought about it.. could be wrong.. xD
I love ah my goddess. It's awesome, funny and has very entertaining arcs. If there IS an overarching plot line (which I doubt) it's just the autobiography of Keiichi Morisato from age X - ongoing. I mean, the focus is switching a little bit more to Skuld, but I like the kind of variety and freedom that is inherent in the manga. Personally, I don't want an ending, I could keep reading it until the dude dies.
