    Default A question about berserk

I watched the anime and liked it quite a bit. I did hate the crappy ending, but now that i checked these forums it seems them manga did not end and I'm guessing the anime is taking a break instead of making idiotic fillers. So my question is is there any difference between the plot of the anime and manga? If there is, what is it? Also, at what chapter does the anime stop if the plots run the same?

Alright... the anime covers roughly Volumes 3-13 of the manga, although there's alot of other stuff which happened during the manga which was not shown in the anime, so just picking up the manga at that point may make you a little confused about some things.

The anime is not taking taking a break, it's just flat-out finished. There is no more.

You could have surely found this by doing a good search.... this thread has now served its purpose, let's get it locked and forgotten about ASAP

What would be great: A remake of the old berserk anime in the hellsing ultimate fashion, then making a great TV-anime out of the continuing story. This should of course be done when berserk is finished so I can watch in my flying car. Wait, levitating car, sorry.

I'd say Berserk should be left alone if it's gonna be something like Hellsing Ultimate

Hellsing Ultimate is fairly good. Although, seeing how they spend months on just one hour-length OAV, the quality could be better.

I didn't mean exactly like it, but quality OAVs. But I could easily accept a normal TV-anime as long as the quality is top.

The anime is finished. The manga still continue. But I suggest like other said that you should read the manga (from the beginning, many plots are erased and censored on the anime). And the manga is so much better... That's a crime to know Berserk only with the anime, the manga is great and much more better.

Read the manga from the beginning.

Berserk's anime is over. There will be no second season.

    The ending was perfect.

Actually, I found the anime to be torment. I passionately love the manga, but I just cant bear to watch the anime.

Actually, I'd recommend reading the manga from volume 4 onwards. 1-3 were just a whole lot of ramblings and beating you about the head with foreshadowing. The first few volumes are kind of a disaster of narrative, until the mangaka began to get his shit sorted.

Though if you've already seen the anime, it wouldn't hurt to read the first few out of intrest... it's not going to spoil anything for you which you don't already know.
