    Default Hating

The thing that I hate most in manga is the fact that when someone gets wet, is out in the rain, whatever it seems like 5 minutes later they are always coughing or get what looks like a life-threatening fever the next day unless someone tells the character that they should dry off or they will get a cold it seems like it always happens.

Also one more thing, more anime though, why do characters always stand in front of someone they are supposed to protect and just stick there arms out like its something that is going to stop the person attacking?

Sorry if something like this has been posted before, I looked, didn't find it.

I can b**** a little more if people want

Come on, it's the Japanese we're talking about here! You can jump and skirts don't move! Magic!

I thought the skirts always moved just enough to provide a brief panty shot or have I been reading the wrong kind of manga.

Oh yeah i forgot about that.

I think these manga writers are devalueing the badassness of Japanese people. Look back at WW2 and samurais for some examples. They are defacing the present and the past. A call to manga writers, no more cold's after 5 minutes of being wet. No more life threatening fevers when someone doesn't tell you to dry off if you're wet. Let's start something. No more Japanese people with weak immune systems.

You mean, a skirt is SUPPOSED to move when you jump, and not just when a random gust of wind happens to blow it up at the worst moment? Happens to me all the time...

Not referring to manga; some of the anime awhile ago got really weird because of laws against airing such things in daytime TV slots.

Stop bringing realistic things into manga. If they don't say something in it, it doesn't exist in their world, at least how I see it. Most of the time those fevers are just from being outside and wet. I think a lot of the times it was fall or spring, not summer, but come on, they are coughing after 5 minutes and if they don't dry off or have someone tell them to dry off they have a life threatening fever after only a short time being wet. I was outside in below freezing weather for about an hour the other night and all I got was a sore throat at best. I was wearing a coat, a hoodie, a pair of jeans, and shoes with no socks, and these people in manga get sick after five minutes of being wet. It just frustrates me.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, don't need to get so frustated. sorry i didn't mean to mix up manga and reality, just that in some of the manga i read, there r explanation to the situation. like in W Juliet ( When Misaki and her boyfriend get wet from a duck ride in amusement park, they made comment like "It is December, and we all soak wet?!" with a worried face ) , Beautiful Sunshine, etc. So naturally, cause i am living in tropical countries where it can reached 31 Celcius, i do not think it is weird.

BTW : metrobluejay, maybe it is ur antibody that is strong. if i am in ur condition i would become something like frozen to death.......

nah dude you just become acclimated to the cold. If that doesn't happen where I live you'd freeze to death. Metophorically speaking of course.
