Nebraska, My Dad and pretty much my whole family lives in Minnesota so the winters get cold. It's been pretty cold for the last few weeks because of some weather thing that rolled in and dropped the temps. Doesn't help that there was a snow storm over the weekend either.

The Japanese are weak as hell when it comes to the common cold.
I don't know if they're more susceptible to it, but they definitely freak out over it alot more. Cough or sneeze and everyone wants to know what's wrong and if you've seen a doctor yet.

go to japan. I believe if you went there you'll get some answers to your questions.

they have a lot of misconception of how things are. heck the mangaka of the Hikaru no go can't even play go and I still enjoyed reading it. just enjoy it as it is. if you can't, move on to another story. theres a lot of varieties out there that you can pick from. based on your remarks you might have been reading too much shojou mangas.

I'm not really taking any of this seriously. Just trying to have a little fun.

I think they take it seriously though because of all the diseases that they seem to get. They got sars not to long ago, then avian flu, one of their subways got mustard gassed, makes sense when you look at it.

I'd also like to add one more thing, why when someone stays in a hotspring too long they just pass out suddenly. All they have for warning is man i think i'm getting a little hot, then a few seconds later they pass out. Come on can't they put two and two together, I'm getting a little hot, maybe I should be getting out.

they can't leave. the fans wants to see them longer in a hot spring dasu ^^

from what I can guess. mangakas tends to read mangas a lot. so they have a tendency to think that some situations in mangas are the things that really happen and they follow it through they're work. (back then I thought that if I saw a naked girl I'll have a nose bleed, ah the innocent days ^^)

were all having fun here. we just like to add our own two cents in the matter. ^_^

Sometimes, I find it rather strange that all non-Japanese people (i.e. Americans, aliens, etc.) that appear in manga can speak fluent Japanese.

Protagonist: (thinks) Okay... I'll try to communicate with him/her
    *Does stupid signs/speaks poor English*
Stranger: Haha, no need to worry, I can speak fluent Japanese.

I could say that i dont like when in manga only countries which they use for traveling or history using. Are either Usa or Germany ...
Germany because of WW II and Usa because they love everything from usa since WW II %%.

I think that the poor men of manga need to realise they don't have to put up with their abuse by women. They can leave the crazy chicks who beat them up and get restraining orders etc. it's alright to admit she's trying to crack your skull with a mallet, it doesn't make you any less of a man and maybe one day you'll meet a nice girl who can show her affection in ways that don't almost lead to you being maimed or dead. Maybe we can start a refuge shelter for them until they get back on their feet?

Don't forget Korea and China(thoug they may not count), but yeah it is annoying. But think about it... A manga in sweden would be too silent, in france we got "french" people, in russia they would die of the radition after two chapters, in italy it would surpass all ecchi ever, in africa it would simply be expensive since all the black people require enormous amounts of ink, in saudiarabia it would get too much political pressure (which mangakas are naturally allergic to), in england... Well england is japan with bleach all over, in Iceland there lives too few people and so on.

Or it could be that japanese people simply don't know anything about the rest of the world.
