it depend on how you wanna design your game.
try writing a detail document on what you want.
like what type O.S, Game play, directX or OpenGl, etc etc
try to do that, I think I can help you with C/C++ opengl, directX, win32, 3d calculations
and other mind boggeling crap
but remember the number 1 "golden rule" of game design
Keep It Simple Stupid
I've really got a lot of ideas of how the system works, the problem is I'm not great at programming yet. And 3D design is still something I'm working on. I need a 3D engine for my game to work... The best I've done was a 2D game similar to Fire Emblem, but that was in flash... Also I had loads of tips/tricks from people...
I'm kinda working on a cursor mouse.
I'll post something up when I think it's ready
Yeah, I've just started my first year in college. But I'm also self studying, I've got my concepts and everything down, I just need to make my own engine (My first game will be rather simple, but its got something that I can't explain in the short time I have, quite a few interesting strategies involved). I've done work with flash, but I never found it good enough to fulfill my desires. But anyway, I'll look it up later, for now I've got breakfast and business.
Did you said.
