^ who knows maybe winter 2010 when they release the dvd movie.... *Shrugs*... I hope they don't do movies for all of the main arcs :S... it'd be very confusing if they did a movie for volume 9 with the alpha/beta worlds.

it's just a guess about the time. cause spring is as late as june. but if it screened in april or march then december or january seems like a reasonable guess

I'm guessing the movie dvd will be released on December 18th for obvious reasons... so we can assume 6 months before December the 18th will most likely be the release date of the cinematic viewing.

You know what would be the biggest troll? Disappearance done in the "The Adventures of Asahian Mikuru style" animation... with the intro being the Mikuru theme song lmao (they should be happy, they get to see Haruhi's home made movie on the BIG SCREEN *kidding*)

I would crack up so hard if they did that... poor audience's very high expectations destroyed

Well if they did do that for the 1st minute or so of the movie just to screw with people then swap to Kyon re-watching the movie in the club room bored while Haruhi & Co are planning for Christmas then I guess it would be pretty kool troll.

so it will mean that everyone here not on japan (and can't go to japan) won't be able to see "Disappearance" until around 2011 or until the DVD comes out.

Finally! FINALLY!!! They'll be animating Book 4. Too bad it came out as a movie I was hoping they'll animate it as part of the series but if it's executed in a good manner then who am I to complain. Animating it as a Movie has its plus and minus. A Movie has a higher budget and less censorship. They can go all out and do whatever they want. The downside is the time restraint. I wish it will be as long as some Ghibli movie (Princess Mononoke was 2 hours long!!!) but I guess not cutting the scenes to fit an episode will also help with the time management.

Actually I thought the sigh arc looked more like a movie than a TV series so I thought the new Haruhi movie would be the sigh arc and not the disappearance.

No one ever said the movie had to be 90 minutes, it could be 2 hours for all we know.

I reckon KyoAni will make the movie as long as necessary because they're the type of company that will follow the source material to the letter.

I reckon a movie would be more flexible in terms of movie length compared to a TV series where they'd have to animate parts of the novel within 20 minute or so segments and have them 'end' nicely, with the exception of Sighs which ended randomly, although with the TV series they're more flexible with the number of episodes they can use to animate disappearance.

You know if Yuki wasn't wearing those glasses that pic would've reminded me of "Charmed at First Sight LOVER"

True, it could be longer than 2 hours.

Though I was hoping that they would add some more Moe Yuki scenes to make it fit it for each episodes.

Now that I've had a look at it. It is the same jacket but this is Yuki were talking about. I don't think she has a large set of clothes to pick through.

but hey this is an improvement for her. She is actually thinking of fashion now and is thinking for herself.
