^nice, i'm also planning to buy the novel, but i think i'll wait until all of them are translated. most of the time buying the entire set saves more money, saves shipping and handling too. :P

As for the Movie, It's definitely going to get license quite quickly as for its popularity. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if it gets licence before Season 2 (1.5?). So I'll wait for a DVD/BD copy and enjoy Moe Yuki on High quality. ^^

Well I got free shipping for the books if I purchased both of them.

As for all the books being translated I don't think that will happen unless Haruhi stays in Hiatus for the next 5 or so year.

Because if the Author starts releasing the series on an ongoing basis again... then the licensed translators may never release all the books until the series is complete.

Then you can buy the special complete collectors edition with SOS-DAN Armband :P lol.

in like maybe 10 years from now... (just speculating lol)

anyway, hopefully, they'll release the movie in DVD/BD soon, unless it really is part of Kadokawa's plan to postpone it like the novels are right now. I'm predicting that due to the much anticipation of the release of the 10th novel, the mere fact of announcing a definite date of the release, copies will be sold-out immediately even before the aforementioned date due to pre-orders. If their really aiming for a world record, yeah, it's a good plan...

I also want a high-quality video of the movie, BD or DVD. But if a cam record mysteriously appears on the net, and the official BD/DVD release takes too long, i'll probably get the poor copy than be left out. I'll just have to buy them after they are released.

I'll only avoid the cam version as long as I have something to distract myself with... if I don't well... who knows lol...

yesterday, i read(again) the disappearance novel to refresh my memory about the story. and i have to say that my expectations toward the movie is quite high. i was imagining how the scenes in the novel would be animated, and hopefully i won't be disappointed.

^I actually avoided rereading it. I wanted to watch it as if I'm seeing it for the first time (When I read a book, sometimes its like I'm watching it >_<) so I tried to forget as much as I can. Though that preview in Sankaku made me remember a LOT of it.

@Knite: TWGOK sig? I really like that manga! Hmm who would win. Capturing God or Haruhi God? I bet the winner will be Yuki! xD
