Though I expected it as almost everyone that I know checks Sankaku this days.

but YAY! More than 2 hours!!! Hopefully they won't take it back and a DVD release would be available in a few months after it comes out. I don't really like those low quality camera records. Blueray spoiled me much >_<

OMG, and just when I finished up reading the 9 novels, and the Haruhi Theater thing.... can't wait!!

Man, this is all good news. Doubt it'll hit cinema where I am, but I'll get the dvd asap.

2 1/2 hours LONG!
I was hoping that it would be longer than 2 hours (as I have previously mentioned above) but I never really expected that they would do it. It's going to be as long as 8 episodes, more than we have ever expected. I thought Disappearance will only take up to 5 episodes 6 Max but if its going to be around 8 then theres definitely going to be a lot of extra stuff added... Hopefully more Moe Yuki for us ^^

I was thinking about why it will be so long then it hit me... the Intrigues Prolouge.

So you think They'll Skip Snow Mountain and do some kind of fast forward to Intrigues Prolouge and completely end Disappearance?

Why else is it so long....a Moe Yuki Montage? a Very long ending Credits of Moe Yuki Bloopers? Who knows...

The intrigue prologue could be added in the movie but I don't think it could affect season 3.

They can still have the snowy mountain and use a bit of recap from the movie to explain some certain events. Those flashbacks or recaps from the movie could also help fill out the time that should have been allocated for the intrigue prologue.

Well the Moe Yuki moments were really short if you compare it to the whole length of the book so I think adding more of it wouldn't be a bad thing. (Hell I want MORE of it!!!). Moe Yuki can be seen as their selling point for the movie so it's not surprising to see it happen.

@Shin: YAY! a fellow Haruhi theatre reader. I like it as well and would like to have a Haruhi special just to cover it. Kinda like a Haruhi-chan.

it's good to see that the artwork and animation is of such impressive quality. I believe this is the first time that Kyoto Animation will produce a full-length animated film.
