Searching for Haruhiism HQ
I think its safe to say that I'm one of the newest one interested on this, so I am out of the loop. What I'd like to know now is where I can find some sort of dedicated english board/forum where Haruhiism is the main theme. This board has been rather inactive for some time now so I couldn't really dig deeper into some theories I've had since I've watched the anime. I haven't really read the light novels either, but I've been wanting to read it for some time.
Can anyone point me on the right direction?
anyway, this is from 4chan:
It's inactive because shit hasn't actually happened in forever. Now that s2 has officially started, we get rolling.
Oh and Haruhi is God. Get the fuck out with your "false powers" bullshit. WE DON'T TAKE KINDLY TO HERETICS WHO BLASPHEME THE NAME OF HARUHI!
edit: unless vol10 changes something, she has no disability.
You can read the fan translated version fo the light novels here http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/in...uzumiya_Haruhi at baka tsuk
The most active Haruhi forum on the net I know is at Anime Suki here http://forums.animesuki.com/forumdisplay.php?f=52 I personally don't post there much because it feels crowded.
Yeah, animesuki is very crowded.
Contains strong believers of Haruhism.
But its an interesting angle to view the series, no? I've just finished reading the first volume (took me a good 3-4 hours), but seeing as the series viewed in Kyon's perspective, it really is amusing to think of that theory holds some weight, as Kyon himself has been slowly discovering things about himself, almost always in irony (a very recurring theme throughout the series, I might add).

Do I sound like some Haruhiist?
Any news when this will come out?

I personally don't believe that though.... too many holes... well i don't remember that debate much... it's been a while 2 years or so... lol
Like I said, I am not subscribed to one school of thought. Thats boring. Rather, I like to look at things at different angles if the subject piques my interests. For that matter, I moved from Haruhi-centric to Kyon-centric to Haruhi+Kyon-centric, etc, views.
I also noticed that most people I know who has watched the series would immediately jump into the conclusion that Haruhi is God without any further investigation. I mean, to them, it would seem, taking the character's words at face value was enough of an evidence. But after I watched broadcast-order episode 1 (and re-watching it), and broadcast-order episode 2 (and going back and forth during the episode), I noticed that theres something more in it. Haruhi is, without a doubt, some force that drives the whole story. But the question quickly surfaces, didn't Haruhi's efforts only truly bore fruit after her meeting with Kyon? Doesn't it seem like Kyon is the trigger for all this, and the aftermath being Haruhi the driving force? Doesn't it seem that Haruhi and Kyon were locked in a state of denial and acceptance, whereas one accepts, the other denies?
Well, I am absolutely in no position to speculate, as I have just finished volume 1 and I am just beginning with volume 2 (Cue in: CONFESS YOUR MESS: I am on a marathon - reading th Suzumiya Haruhi light novels, will not break from current task), and that I have always criticized myself as to being unable to view things the way people see things. And for this, I humble myself before you people, the long time Haruhiists of this forum. (Read: Burn me, flame me, etc, )
^ just wait till you reach volume 9... you may start questioning even more about who's the real God in this all???
The fact is that Haruhi got her powers 3 years ago and which probably a few weeks/months BEFORE Tanabata when Kyon help Haruhi drew that message to the Aliens/Gods whoever lol.
Therefore I still feel Kyon isn't at least not directly the trigger to her true powers (not yet anyway), if he was he'd need some kind of method to travel back in time before Haruhi got her powers, more then 3 years, which is currently impossible for the time travellers in Haruhi-verse... Although Mikuru's arc in volume 7 reveals something interesting. lol.
hmm... was that too spoilerific? or am I just teasing you to read faster so you can find out the secret? lol
*mouth bubbles over*

^ I consider volume 2 "Sighs" to be the most boring/uninteresting novel in the entire light novel series... there some minor interesting things but overall I only reed that volume as fast as I could just so I could reach the GOOD part fo the story which occurs after "Sighs"
It all depends how fast you speed throughj voilume 2 lol... although I do like Shamisen lol
