*shrugs*.... it's a rerun, aren't those rare in japan... and is there any real incentive to watch a rerun?
Making it free to watch on youtube doesn't seem like a big deal to me, especially for a rerun of a show that's already been shown on TV.
Now whether or not they show the new season on youtube is another thing all together.

^technically, there's an impact. the sales for the dvd will decrease, thus will make less profit for them. Besides, not everyone has watched the entire 1st season, so it makes a large difference for the uninitiated.

^ isn't there a thing called renting anime dvds?
Besides it's been over a year maybe even 2 years (I haven't counted) since the dvds release, any Haruhi dvd sales decrease would be insignificant at this point in time isn't it?

^i get your point. but a lost sale is still a lost sale. they also earn from dvd rentals assuming they're legal ones.

^ fair enough, but I reckon it's the new trend, a lot of shows in my country are now being streamed on the internet after they've been aired on TV, for people who've missed watching an episode.
