Request: post them in thumbnail format, like this below. It is done to increase the size of image that is on this page thus it will load faster. Think of people with slow connection (it is real hell to load pages with huge pictures inside them). You don't need to resize them though. If picture is pretty it would be an awfull waste then. Just thumbnails are fine

I wasn't sure where to post this where everyone could read, I've already posted this in the Novel Thread but...yea I found something interesting



If you've noticed already that both pics above look VERY similar... well i reckon their basically the same pic. Except one is from the 1st season of the anime, the other is from Voulme 8 of the novel. Which I find as an very strange coincedence since Book 8 wasn't released until after the release of the anime... (or the official opening theme song of season 1)

it makes you wonder doesn't it? whether or not they've already animated more then just the 1st Volume and a few short story chapters already back then... it also makes you wonder how they got that pic before the novel was released, well obviously they collaborated with the author but I didn't think volume 8 would be necessary unless they were expecting the series to be a huge hit as it is today.

Your thoughts?

PS: I'm looking forward to 2nd Season opening theme songs... who knows they might include spoilers pics from volume 10+. :P

It only proves what we know - that a guy who writes the novels and looked after the animation is the same guy and used the same sketches.

^ does author of the novel also draw his own illustrations for the novel too? I always thought they were different people... that's how it usually is with novels...

Doesn't really matter - after research I found it's Noizi Ito but she works closely Nagaru Tanigawa not only on pictures but on plot too. In this term, we say "Authors". Eitherway, those are two people who probably made a thousand of sketches beforehand and those were used.

Also there are other ways of doing it

a) Haruhi story isn't really chronological so the chronological changes could have been done after writing

b) The first books of novels were made but as most companies do, they only released the first volume to see if it will become popular. It did so they released more. To keep merchandise alive, you cannot release one after another but make people wait.

I don't really see mystery there.

In the writer's note. It sounds like he's just writing it as he goes.
It didn't look like he actually had a complete story.

Maybe they're taking so long because he wants to write properly now. Think about it, Haruhi's already established as being huge, so if he continued writing as he went along, it would lose itself in plot holes. I guess in this theory, he could be further improving the writing in said books...
