Also, if I have the time, I'll compile all my Kyonko images and send the DL link to anyone through PM [includes norms and naughties].

Greetings from someone who isn't an alien, a slider, an esper, or a time traveler!

I have glanced many a time upon this thread which seems to be surviving the test of age. However, being a recent follower of this Haruhiism, am I quite perplexed upon the nature of this 'genderbending' of individuals spoken of in the scriptures of the faith. Might I inquire as to the who, what, why, and how of this supposed branching of the teachings of the faith?

Indeed, I am quite perplexed, as the library of the internet holds shelves and shelves of websites that nurture this 'genderbending'. I confess that I am no scholar of the scripture, nor have I gone beyond The Boredom of Suzumiya Haruhi, so I am quite conflicted on going about these writings. I even spout, at times, the proverbial "WHAT THE F*CK" whenever I come across something of this nature on my scholarly activities in the web.

True, I cringe at this, but as I wish to delve deeper into the faith, I must know of this branch of teachings. I wish for your kindness and your cooperation, and wish not your ire and flame.

I am in your care. Thank you very much.

^ *gasp* BURN THE HEATHEN!!! :P *kidding*

have you tried reading the entire thread, starting with the 1st post?

there are some gender bender comments here & there all over this sub-forum but most of the stuff should be here, for more information about it check anime suki here http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=63152

Let's just say Gender Bender was something you entertain ourselves while we waited for Haruhi-sama's 2nd comming.... 3 years is a long time to wait alright? lol....

Although they made genderbent Kyon (Kyonko) way too MOE... kinda like a combination of Haruhi + Yuki = Kyonko... obviously with Kyon's personality.

    @ Vin; btw I found a Kyonko T-shirt lol http://www.atalude.net/archives/2008...nytailed-girl/

^ Yes it was made by the fans & No, the author did not have anything to do with the genderbent stuff unless you include the original material... although some fans like to dream that Kyonko & Kyon may one day meet as sliders lol...

True, Kyonko was born from the fans, by the fans, for the fans.

but from there on. It grew onwards. Life was breathe into it and Kyonko became far more popular than anyone would ever imagine. spawning great 4 komas, fan arts, video clips (edited version of the original mostly), music CDs, doujinshi (mostly non-perverted). It grew large enough to create its own world.

It can even stand as its own series if need be. Hell even if I didn't see the original and saw this first. I'll still follow the cult that is Kyonkoism. ^^

too bad. I didn't see the GB episode on the list for the second season. >.>

If the slider looks exactly as Kyonko, acts like her and is named similar to Kyonko that she can actually be given a nickname "Kyonko". I'd be very VERY happy
