No, it's not really too late. But the scanlation is lagging behind a lot, isn't it? I wonder if the "lagging behind" part got somehow transferred from Aquastar to the people who translate it now.

if we consider magic world is a 'sacred land' (japanese mythology, so does some other asian mythology.... if u read kekkaishi then you'll probably know), then asuna is the 'landgod'... then the fact that godel only want to save a few number of human make sense, cus everything else is just part of that land (part of asuna).
