What I'm wondering more about is: How does Godel know about fate in the first place? If you remember in the old world, even Eva had no info on him. Neither did Donnet.......

also the question Godel asked at the end..."who stands to gain the most by attacking Negi's village...?"...got me thinking...here are some possible goals.

1. The most obvious goal: Draw Nagi out of hiding and kill of all blood relations at once. By Killing Negi, the possible future crown prince of Ostia, one wouldn't have to worry about him coming back to take the throne.

2. [conjecture] possibly take out a portion of Wales' magic forces.(which was succesful) [/conjecture]

3. [conjecture] Set the son of the Thousand Master down a path that would get him super strong in a matter of 6 or 7 years and lead him back to the magical world. [/conjecture]

.....and agreed....an epic Negi V.S Asuna fight would be awesome

Hmm rodavlas that's true. I reread that fight for the sake of manliness and it said his mental abilities were accelerated too. And haha ivanov we thought of the same thing.

The way it's looking, A.suna (i need to settle on an abbreviation for awakened asuna haha) is going to be nigh-unstoppable. But how would she become Fate's partner in the assassination (if it's happening)... holding Anya hostage for it? 'cause I don't see Fate being able to brainwash her.

and... Nagi = unkillable. If he (actually did) beat the lifeweaver mage at 14, how much stronger can he have become since then?

Holy mother of the twist plots!!!! this chapter was way to awesome, so many things happening in such a short time....

Now as for the Asuna vs Negi its something that WILL happen we have been seen that akamatsu put little by little all the necessary arguments, i feel like at the of all this well be able to see how finally negi will be consume by the side effects of magia erebea and how because of that Asuna will snap out of the possible manipulation of fate to save him with her ability dont you agree?.

@sazny: i'm not saying asuna gonna be fate's partner. i'm saying the other asuna gonna take over the body.. the asuna with a very hollow eye... the one that've been used as a wepon before.. remember... i'm saying she will be used again, not getting breinwashed, but getting manipulated..
and for anya... she prolly gonna be the last weapon.

could you please list those arguments, because aside from the previous fight they had I can not think of any.

the new chapter comes out in raw tomorrow...which means its another like 4 days until the english...this really sucks i wanna know what happens hahah its so suspenseful and cliffhanging

Nagi's pactio? Typo? If it's not gone by now she might as well keep it going even at the risk of her "princesslyness" being jeopardized.

Negi compared her to Eva and Nagi; Fate is "restoring" her memory, which can potentially mean he's writing things for the sake of his benefit; Shiori is still undetected; the plan coincides Godel's ball - why would he need Asuna otherwise?; if he doesn't write new memories, he's got Anya as a hostage.

In any case, I'm sure there are others who can think of more and better things than I did off the top of my head.

Saying "empty eyes" seems more fitting. "hollow eye" gives an impression there is no eye where it should be.
Still, it is unlikely that Asuna will change too much when her old memories return. After all, she had a nice life at Mahora that formed her personality. Whatever bad memories she might have, she will not go non-thinking, she will react to them like her new personality would. My guess is she will just become stronger in the end.
And Fate doesn't seem like the type to write false memories. He seems to be sure that his goals are right and anyone who had some similar past experience will come to agree with him. And he knows where he must stop to not lose sight of his goals.
