Interesting chapter, hell if we all began to hate the governor, i still believe he is FATE, but only time will tell.

So now Fate has shapeshifting powers? Let's just make the whole magic world be controlled by Fate why don't we? Fate isn't usually rude to Negi but apathetic. This governor guy seems to hate Negi's guts, or at least his mother's. Come to think of it, I don't remember anyone using magic to be a different person in disguise.

I've always pictured Konoka as a chessmaster of sorts.. someone who's obscuring stupidity all the time... I mean, she did get a 90 all the way back in the library arc and she was presented an innocent character...

someone mentionned akamatsu not doing incest, remember kanako from love hina? granted she is not blood related to keitaro, but it could still be considered incest by some.

as for kamo, if you check the background of the pactio scene, u will notice they changed location to meet the ermine.

on pactio discussion, from what the ermine said, i think setsuna might be getting a new artifact. maybe something about exceptional persons getting 2 artifacts will be used, just like how negi got a gold and red special pactio card.

Btw it dosent have to be insest, Negi just dosent have to be with Asuna thats all...

doesn't has to be... both are princess but with a different title.. meaning both come from the same royal family but from a different family.... they might be cousins or something..

or if you wanna accept my oppinion long ago (on raw thread... i think): since arika has the opposite heterochromia of asuna. they are definitely twin sisters... that's why negi like to sleep with her because she is the closest person to his mom (he didn't know but his body realize it).... or asuna and arika is actually the same person split in to two because a certain magic.

BTW is this mean the reason why arika and nagi run away because they put all the blame on her to protect asuna? and that's why asuna's mind been locked up so nobody can blame her? why? is asun really that fragile?

It was in Racan's movie. Fate (big) pretended to be some kind of senator, the real senator was killed.
But Nagi saw through his disguise fairly quickly. Probably that is the reason why Fate spent so much time on training FakeAsuna.

Guess this remark proves that I'm not. It is just that I was disappointed at first with how this mistery about who is really Negi's mother, that made us guess quite a lot, got revealed so, how should I put it, simply. But now I understand that there has to be more to it. Even if she is a princess who (supposedly) destroyed her own country people, Rakan could have told Negi who his mother is, because Negi is Negi and he is not responsible for what his mother (supposedly) did in the past (then again Akamatsu-sensei might be tricking us into beliving that Arika is Negi's mother).

I think it is going to be somewhat a repetition of the situation when Fate tried to persuade Negi to return to Mahora, but this time I bet the governor is going to blackmail Negi by saying that he can arrest his friends any time and wil provide proof that he is not bluffing, or something like that. When it was with Fate, the real Asuna managed to whack some sense into Negi. I wonder if Fakesuna will be able to do that.

if you ask me Konoka probably has an idea of how Setsuna feels about her, and she (Konoka) enjoys teasing Setsuna so mercilessly like this: http://www.onemanga.com/Mahou_Sensei_Negima!/173/03/ probably just as punishment for the first few years when Setsuna was avoiding her at Mahora

i hope that negi's mother isn't dead. rereading the chapters it looks like she may have been blackmailed or betrayed.

Governor-General Goedel is likely one of Fate's allies. Goedel's actions by using Mesoma. Knights as bodyguards were really overdeone. He claims that the Knights were his bodyguards. Oddly, the kid with the sword and two knights were the right number for Goedel's bodyguards.

Konoka and Setsunna are now a couple. Setsunna and Konoka are still two of Negi's Ministras. Negi will agreed to their pactio. Unfortunately, the events around them are not totally positive.

We learn that Arika is Negi's mother. I will rather want Rakan, Takamichi or both to tell Negi the truth of Arika being his mother. Unfortunately, Goedel has to spoil the party by telling Negi first. He seems to hate Arika for some reasons. One of which was blaming her for the destruction of Ostia.

Arika could not stop the destruction of her home. The country was sacrifice to save rest of Mandus Magicus. A sacrifice which the majority of Ostians will understand. Yet like some people on Earth, some Ostians will not accept why there country was sarcifice.

Goedel is not Fate in disguise. He is the real Governor-General. He may be part of Fate's plans to disrupt the peace. Using Mesmo. Knights as his bodyguards may be part of the plans. Unfortunately unless Negi had temporary forgotten, Negi is aware of Fate's plans..

A bit of speculation. As a result of Chao. Negi does have some knowledge about the future. He is smart enough to figure out that he and the Al Alba will stop Fate and his allies. His limited knowledge of the future is like a small jigsaw puzzle, and a slight advantage over Fate.
