Yeah, it's hard to see how he managed to become a governor, much less a general.

Anyway, he seems to have a bad case of lying a lot, and even if he says Arika is Negi's mother, we can't trust him entirely.

Good chapter, but I thought Racan was supposed to tell Negi about his parents and the magic world ever since he acknowledged him as a man. So its certain that Arika is Negi's mom, and Arika is also Asuna's older sister, making Asuna Negi's aunt?! Yeah I'm pretty certain...

And I am sure Arika is Negi's mom. Since Nagi was single during the war, and the only female contact he had was Arika, I came to that conclusion ever since Racan's story. Since Negi is young, it is very likely that Nagi had Negi right after the war, making it seem more likely it is Arika. In addition to that there was certainly some chemistry between Arika and Nagi.

The governer looks pretty evil, and he's fairly confident that him and his cronies would be enough to match Negi. However I'm certain that he dosen't know that Negi=Nagi, I mean even Theo, Seras, and hairy dude couldn't see through Eva's disguse. I'm sure that Negi could easily mop the floor with them with Raiten Taisou 1, heck he could do it with basic ME powerup. The governer should have brought along an aegis warship instead.

On a side note, I envy setsuna. Maybe she might end up with Konoka after all... Where does that leave Negi though? Harem decreased 10%?!

Yeah, he ruined it for me. As if we already didn't know though that she was his mother.

It was never actually stated that Asuna was Arika's sister. Looking back, Jack asked if they were, and Negi denied it or something else. Besides, they only have similar surnames, not always meaning the parents are the same. I don't think that Akamatsu would go that far as to put incest in the story.

Akamatsu would go that far to put Yuri. Yum.

Both are princesses of Osita, so they are somewhat related. Could be sisters, half sisters, step sisters...
Btw it dosent have to be insest, Negi just dosent have to be with Asuna thats all...

Interesting chapter, hell if we all began to hate the governor, i still believe he is FATE, but only time will tell.

I dunno but that governor's eyes looked just like the eyes of alucard form Hellsing...he's evil. So now we know that Arika is Negi's mom. If I were Negi I would have kicked the governor to death for being so rude to Arika.

it's likely that he already did since Konoka seemed to mention Negi's mother. it's just that it wasn't shown.

Negi is ten years old, and the war was about 10 years ago wasnt it? That means Negi was born just after the war, or not long after it...
