i like what eva said. it's just what i expected from long ago, dark magic is the magic that take your opponent power and make it become your own (dark matter theory), the best defend magic.

and like i said before. there are two idiot fist fighting. i bet both of them gonna drop at the same time in the end from exhaustion.

btw can we called a ten year old boy a man?? is this mean negi can do "stuff" boy can't from now on? are msn gonna be a seinen from now?? (...kidding)

offtopic: are scroll-eva and the real eva are a seperate being or are the two of them connected somehow? i wonder whether the real eva is watching this match from her place right now?

eva: what... that... i've complete that long ago. you shouldn't trust whatever that scroll said. she's something i made when i was bored long before i met your dad.

I was actually hoping for this. Something along the lines of "I thought you wanted to follow Nagi's footsteps on the light side so I never brought it up. I could have helped you master this in a week of normal training."

absorbing Thousand Bolts grants him a 150 km/hr (was it? I forgot...) aka insane speed right?

wonder what happens when he absorbs the ultimate fire, ice, shadow, light, wind, water... heck, any element you can name of...

Whoa, that was awesome. Just how many attacks did Negi? And that guy is still standing, that's just crazy. If 10-year-old Negi can actually hurt Rakan, we give him 2 or 3 years and he might become the most powerful mage in the world...

Anyway, in this chapter there were 2 things confirmed:

-ME is capable of adsorbing both energies, spiritual and magical

-Rakan did go easy on Negi

Just awesome chapter!!! damn it all ended in a fist fight ....sure Rakan is someone to fear ..... or maybe his just too way stupid like to understand the concept of pain? XD

Now about what ivanov said, i would really like the real eva to be conected with the eva of the scroll somehow cause that al least put some kind of restriction on the limits of ME ...imagine that she told negi "hey boy thats the old stuff only...the new stuff is...." some how i wouldn't like it.

I did like that rakan accepted that negi doesn't have raw strength but more of the ability to came with a plan to surpass the limitations he had........and there again a great fight with a great ending way better than other mangas, at least for me

YAY i loved this chapter. very nicely wrapped. that was some insane combos negi pulled.

anyone wished he was in his 10 yr old form doing all this? i guess we have to wait till fate vs negi. speaking of fate, doesn't he kind of know all of negi's trump cards right now? quite disadvantageous i think.

oh and, after all that stuff negi pulled, he still can't fly without his staff... and his staff just got obsolete now right? apart from flying that is.

well, time to go back to asuna and know what the hell happened to her for fate to be able to take a break and watch tv.

@Salvador: Rakan >>>> Negi still. The only reason they fought to this standstill was that Rakan was a) not taking Negi seriously, and b) negi had SO much time to prepare for the fight. Like I (think I) said before, if Rakan really wanted to, he would have attacked Negi to stop him from ever actually finishing incantations in the first place.

Best part of this was that Negi's outlook changed from "OMFG I CAN'T BEAT FUCKERS LIKE HIM" to "OMG THEY'RE SO AMAZING ILL GET THERE SOME DAY!!" Yeah.

Considering that the Eva scroll is at least 15 years behind the real Eva, real Eva may have mastered what she said she couldn't by now.
