Holy shit. Five trumps...... This chapter move Negima from number 7 to 3, taking bleachs place.
And... If you cant beat them with your own power, fuck them up with thier own.
Pie....
Let's assume that the Big Boss turns out to be Nagi. Negi needs to outwit his own father to defeat him. Nagi is a very powerful mage. if Nagi turns out to be the Big Boss, he is more likely possess. Negi will have a much more difficult battle with his father. His goal is save his father as well as to defeat the Demon who is possessing Nagi. I don't suspect that Nagi is possess by an evil spirit.
Negi is using his intelligence in his battle against Rakan. Apparentily, Negi had trick Rakan as a way to figure out his weaknesses. Rakan does have a few weaknesses. One of Rakan's weaknesses is his ego.
I will have to wait for the next chapter to see if Negi had defeated Rakan. Negi needs to be careful since his main magical element is Wind. Yet, lightning and storms are connected to wind. It seems that Negi needs to prepared himself, in order to use some lightning attacks. Negi is likely going to study the lightning attack which his father had used during the Demon Raid.

Great chapt, I think Negi will win. As for Nagi, its possible that he is possessed by the very "mage" that he defeated... By that I refer to the "original mage" during the war, it could have possessing abilities/ body transfer to allow itself to surive through the ages...
I am in love withthe action in this manga now, planning and fooling openents is the way a strategist should fight.
My chapter 248 prediction:
Just as Rakan finally accept his defeat, Negi falls unconscious for overusing Magia Erebia. Rakan acknowledges that Negi has matured, and forfeits the match.
This way KA don't have to worry about powerup Negi too much, he still can't reach Rakan level which is the same level as Nagi. Another plus is to show Magia Erebia danger. On the other hand, Negi can earn Rakan respect AND the prize money to rescue Ako. It's just perfect![]()
Notice in the last frame that Negi has healed. I guess a massive intake of Ki can do that.
Also I don't think Negi's plans for this match would have much use in any other situation. The fore thought to plan everything, an opponent willing to act as Rakan does (He's mostly playing along) and who knows how long Negi can hold spells. Plus I wouldn't be suprised if Magia Erebia is eating his soul as we speak.
ps: Negi needs a Hair cut REAL bad.
pps: stupid lightning tail
ppps: Every site I've read has had at least one comment on DBZ and/or Super Saian to the N'th factorial. (4 for 4)
^It probably is eating away at his soul. However, by Manga Laws, his soul, mana, power, endurance, sp, chakra, etc. are all infinite until quantisized.
Good Times
the idiot pathway can be interpreted in different ways. example, challenging rakan and expecting to win is idiotic, impossible, give up, gg, but if you think like that ( rationally), you will never win, since you gave up already in your mind. this is where the idiot pathway comes in. believe you can win, but train and plan and do everything to attain that goal.
i believe, just like the fake power level of kage, fate's power could fake too. actually, it has to be, since negi went over that now...
fighting style of this one reminds me of the one vs takahata. make your opponent use big atk, then make a surprise attack.
^ that's exactly what he did. Just like takamichi, rakan fell for the same trap that negi set... He even had kotaro as insurance to make sure that rakan had to blast him with everything, and then used the thundergod spear as a double bluff so that he could complexio them both at the same time. Nice Negi.
yeah.... and absorb Rakan's attack at FULL POWER... now THAT.... is awesome....
